Was worried when the car turned off the congested dusty road into the non descript driveway. Then the front doors to the lobby opened and wow... A beautiful authentic vibrant hotel was exactly what we saw. The hotel is everything you would want in Katmandu. The people, food and atmosphere were excellent. Nice pool, spa and restaurants. Rooms are great and decorated to go with the hotel. The Nepalese restaurant was excellent. The birds are loud but not at all a negative. Wonderful hotel i would recommend to all.

NAMASTE- welcome to the place of excellence! "Food for the body is not enough. There must be food for the soul." -Dorothy Day Rosemary Kitchen does not have a long history back, but the humble appreciation of satisfied clients so far makes it a Legend! It has been two year that Rosemary Kitchen was open to serve the public. Since then, it has been serving the food for soul and accumulated great client base of internal and external tourists who come to visit the Himalayan Kingdom of Nepal.
Wow that bruchetta was to die for. Really flavorful. I will remember that for a long time. The staff were very welcoming. It's a neat place in the heart of asan shopping district. Great garden, private atmosphere for lunch and dinner. Will be back here next year.

The food here is so delicious! The tofu was unlike any tofu we've had before in the way it was prepared.
The wasabi actually has a hit!
My mouth waters when I think about the okonomiyaki.
Their Japanese green tea was very tasty.
We were in Japan in march and we were not disappointed with the food here.
Staff are very friendly and the food came out quickly.
Recommend to all.
Only area for improvement is the edamame, which was overlooked.

Perfect example of what happens when places like this get hyped on tripadvisor. Everybody goes there and make themselves believe its fantastic. It's nothing special though. It's not bad either, and yes, it's quite cheap. But food here is really not that special. Mediocre at best, more or less what you'd eat in cheap Indian eateries in Europe. There's way better Indian food around, for those that look a tiny bit further than Thamel. Gupta Bhojanalaya on Chetrapati, for example.

Spanish Home Style Restaurant Inside the Awasome Boudha Stupa. In La Casita you can enjoy one of The best views of Boudha and all The Monasteries at the Mountains . Its like a small Oasis where enjoy a Coffee or any of our Great juices, mocktails or cocktails at the rooftop . In La Casita you can experiment The real Spanish taste of food and Tapas. Best selection of Spanish menu feeling at home. SATURDAY CLOSED FOR STAFF HOLIDAYS.
This is one of the best restaurants in the Kathmandu Valley. The entrance is in a little alley right off the stupa. That same alley is the perfect way to enter the stupa from the street. The menu is varied and the food is always tasty. The view from the windows is fine, but the best view is from the rooftop tables. My photo of the stupa with 'Losar' lights was taken from this restaurant. This is a small operation that gets plenty of personalized, loving care from the Western owners. A great place to meet friends and hang out for the evening. Popular with expats and old Asia Hands.

We have aquaponic garden on the rooftop growing organic veggies on site. We are at the back of the courtyard on the upper floors. This quiet location allows you to enjoy our delicious food, in a peaceful and spacious environment. It will be easy to spend your morning, afternoon or evening with us as we offer a variety of settings and Seating arrangements including a peaceful Terrace for lounging which includes a cinema. As well, we're equipped with exceptionally fast WIFI for your convenience. We invite you to visit us and indulge in our amazing one-of-a-kind dishes, local music and feel satisfied knowing you just made a difference in anothers life.
Thamel caters to tourists, so many of its restaurants feature international fare. The problem with that is getting the proper ingredients when they really aren't accessible in Nepal. Thus, your best restaurants in Nepal tend to be the ones that specialize in Indian and Nepali...MoreThanks for your encouraging review. You are right about the difficulty in getting some ingredients ... and they can be very expensive as well. We try to reach a good balance. Hope to see you again.

When the sun shines, which is often in Kathmandu, our delicious food can be served to our rooftop garden, on our upper decks and our main Promenade. This provides a more casual approach to the Ship's dining experience and there are spaces for over 60 diners to enjoy the Kathmandu Sunshine. Our main restaurant rooms provide comfort for all our guests in well spaced and uncluttered tables. Our menu has been designed so that all food can be prepared from fresh and delivered to the table within 30 minutes of ordering. All foods whenever possible are organically produced from local sources and will be served by young, enthusiastic and motivated people. Most are students taking their diplomas at a local Hotel Management college and it is the founders aim to help the education of the young. The Ship will assist in this education and will help promote the empowerment of women by providing a vehicle for on the job training and learning as well as providing in house development. Our emphasis will be on quality. Quality of food, quality of service and quality of surroundings, this emphasis will not be compromised. We believe that dining at 'The Ship' will be an unforgettable experience unrivalled in Kathmandu and we look forward to pushing the culinary boundaries of the dining culture within Nepal.
it is always so nice when somebody welcome you with warm smile....we are greeted by warm smile of the Manager...staffs are too energetic to serve... and the delicious foods are mouth watering....feel to eat time and again... I strongly recommend this restaurant to all

Not just a typical Bakery. A European fusion of best food, great coffee and cakes in town.
Stayed opposite this place and decided to try it. Comfy looking cafe both from outside and inside - see pics. Small place - sits only about 20 so come early during meal times. Went about 3pm and it was almost full. Their servings are big. Had a big bowl of cajun chicken salad - vinaigrette dressing, fresh mushroom, lettuce, brinjal with generous chucks of chicken & tasty garlic toast. Neighbouring customer loved her huge plate of carbonara spaghetti. I simply loved their ice cold thick hazelnut Frappecino. Big straw. Fast service and friendly young staff. Had loaves of bread and wine lining the shelves on one wall. Will try those next time. Had a TV high on one wall but nobody is watching when there is good conversation going on. Wifi was strong.

Hello Kitty Restaurant is located at central city heart of Thamel Kathmandu. For the finest Chinese, Thai and Nepal food.
As of November2017, it has been opened less than one year. It was recommended to me by the hotel I was staying at which was right around the corner. I ate there twice and both times, it was delicious. Good service, good food, and ultra clean. They had an extensive menu which you can also order local Nepalese food.
