Its a gem of karjat the pool side , the gameing zone, rooms, food, overall view is very beautiful. I would love to visit this place again. Located within direct access & view of Ulhas river with 360 degree panoramic views of the Sahyadri mountain range, open countryside, serene atmosphere away from noise and pollution. Rail/bus stations almost equidistant from Mumbai/Pune (approx 90 km).

Everything we need to tell them to do. - They haven't started rain dance section.they started on sunday for 5 minus. entire Saturday bwas off. - Lunch - there was a shortage of dessert(gulab jam)& thy replace with other alternative which was not good. - Dinner - They are not ready to tell what dessert they are offering...After multiple approach they starting providing vanilla ice cream. - High shortage of roti. People have to wait 4-5 minus while eating. - Catering department completely failed with average taste n other management as compare to cost. - few limited food options were provided. - Dinning hall was hot a.c was working but having cooling issues. - On name of high tea they have provided...vada pav n tea coffee.....at least biscuits should have given - Consider Saturday n Sunday they should have taken all there roof repairing working on other days.... - metal working was going on. too risky for childs. - Kids area equipment was not maintained. - NO pickup from OLA n UBER...from dis location. Drop are available to dis resort.. - steam n massage not working - rushed metal found on the floor.....very risky for kids -*** No life guide is available. at swimming area. Pro - Room were clean n good with working A.C - Staff is polite. - Swimming water is well maintained. Suggestions: either reduce cost or improve catering department as mentioned because with same price other resort are providing great catering service with multiple variety. Keep kids area clean n remove gas cylinders. n replce other metal cover on floor. Kindly mention all the member tht pickup is not available at ur location.

The art village is a physical manifestation of a creative space where artists, film makers, photographers, architects, yogi’s, dancers, musicians, and theatre personalities come together to invent, create and share their philosophies, methods of practice and share their journey’s through workshops, festivals, talks and performances. Nested in the hills of Karjat on the outskirts of Mumbai city, India the art village is a 90 minute drive from the International airport in Mumbai. Spread over 15 acres of Farm Land it comprises of a Man made Lake, a Farm house converted into a boutique stay named the Tooth mountain Farm, a Nursery with a bonsai village and the Art Campus with staff quarters. All the materials used to build the village are eco friendly. The entire structure is build through earth construction using both the earth building methods. Recycled wood and thatch roofs are the prime features of the construction and roofing. The project comprises of three cottages, a recreation center, common toilet blocks, an earth café with a country style kitchen and an open to sky amphitheater. Each cottage has two rooms and has been constructed using the cobb building method with wooden and thatched roofs. The philosophy of the village is community living and so the cottages have been designed with that in mind. There are four beds in each cottage and attached baths with open to sky showers and vertical landscapes allowing nature to interact at all times.

Reviewed By prakashorchidThis property is for someone thats looking out for a "different" experience, outside of the normal pampering that a top notch resort typically offers. The entrace to the property is right after you take a left turn at Chowk on the way to Matheran, adjacent to ND Studios. The entrance gate gives you a feeling of entering a run down farm. However, the moment you are in and drive up to the parking, you get a sneak peak of the property, with quaint huts and brick coloured walls welcoming you with both hands. The propoerty is managed as an artists collective, with artists frequently converging here for musical fiestas. Hence, the place has a lot of vibe. The reception area and the adjoining hall is minimalistic but offers a lot of calm and peace. The food is basic vegetarian spread and very minimal so as to avoid waste. The rooms are 6 in number and each can accomodate 4 members, across 3 mud huts. These huts are nicely done up with AC and nice beds and 2 sets of toilets and bathrooms in each room. TV is not there though and water is also served in refillable copper bottles. In fact there is no plastic used anywhere in the property, which is a nice way of reinforcing commitment to environment. There is minimal staff of about 9 members who manage the running of the place. There is a badminton court and a lawn for lazing around, besides a few bicycles and books. There is also a projector that you can request some documentaries to be played on. There is a meditation pod on a small fish pond that was very soothing with a unique egg shaped structure and a shivling inside it. There was a yoga session in the evening which was interesting as all the guests participated and the yoga teacher had come down from Mumbai and was very experienced. This place is for those who are looking to rest amidst quiet surroundings. Kids will find it boring and so will youngsters. So pls plan accordingly. I thought that the rates are high for the facilities on offer. My only suggestion is to include lunch in the package as checkin time is 2 pm and most of the guests will not have had food on their way to the property.

Casa Blanca, a beautiful Home with artistically painted murals and frescoes adorning the walls has 4 cosy bedrooms. The in-house cook prepares delicious vegetarian meals. The spacious villa has a dance floor accompanied by a DJ console, a poker table, a TT table, Wi-Fi and a mini library with board games. The Villa is surrounded by a well maintained cricket pitch, 2 acres of organic farms.

Reviewed By SarathykhVisited with my son and family members total 7 adults 1 child from 15th August to 16th August 2021. We were charged about Rs 45000/-which is exorbitant and the stay is not even worth for half the amount.. Shabby Rooms, ,furniture ,and doors of the room without a door handle. Dogs are openly roaming around the swimming pool and passing urine. The only saving grace is the food prepared by the staff which is tasty and their good behavior. I will never suggest this to place to anyone.

Excellent Hidden Gem!
Reviewed By NikhilChaudhari86Having booked this place via booking.com post searching on Google reviews (since booking.com had no details nor facility information) for an 6th anniversary surprise for the wife. The place is close to Mumbai/Thane and very close to the main highway. The road marker is bit small and can be missed if not attentive. Google map shows an route few hundred meters ahead(incorrect route). Correct route from the main road is an Kaccha rasta (dirt road.. 4 wheeler vehicle can easily go though) to property. Property from the entrance can't be known as it's a 2 min walk from the gate to the reception/other areas but you can see to your right wonderful vegatable gardens while you walk through. Parking is available inside the gate as well as outside too (a few feet in front). Entire property is designed considering the gradient of the land (Entrance at high and rooms towards the river edge). The vegetable/fruit plantations have also been planned keeping the most natural set up for them (they use no chemical fertilizers nor pesticides). Organic end to end. 7 rooms in all - 4 facing the river view and 3 garden view, with a meditation center, restaurant, front desk, Ayurvedic spa rooms. The property has 50 odd Gir cows (which are fed green fodder, and allowed to graze openly too) from which milk for guests is used and ghee (organic) for sale is made. The waste from cows is used for fertilizers via sludge and vermicompost method. The team uses 90% of vegetables grown inhouse (except onions and potatoes which do not grow in red soil there.. although they keep trying). They grow a lot of fruits (Sapota aka chikku, Mango, Mosambi, Jamaican/Singapore cherries, cherries, Java apple, Bananas, mini oranges. They also grow Turmeric at the farm which they grow, organically harvest and sell and they sell Guntur chilli powder which they source from elsewhere. They have Pigeons, fish at the property which one can see. A few spice trees also they have for those who haven't seen them till date. i saw a pista fruit (having never seen one). There is Mahua tree (Yes the same one from which Mahua liquor is made) i saw its flowers who have sweet smell and is fermented. Ps the tree is just next to the meditation center (Perfect positioning!) The guest experience starts with the team starting from Arya - co owner & the manager who enthusiastically takes you around the property (considering the gradient it's one steep climb and getting down). She makes you see the property and the plants, Cows and tells you how in last 3 yrs they have made the property and the land usable. Chef Miraj who in his fab makes sure you don't stay hungry at all times with his fab food and fresh juices. The food served here is kerela style veg food but super yummy and perfect for the stay (this is not promoted post at all. You have to try it to believe it that simple food can be so yummy and healthy). Non veg is made on request (cooked seperately offcourse!) But you won't need non veg food like we found with the fab food and breakfast, snacks served here. We stayed in Room 107 (since we went on Sunday for a stay on Sunday and Monday odd days. The guests prior to us had left and we got the entire property to explore). The view from the room is fab with river flowing in front, a patio with sitting area and sliding full length windows..What more is needed. Room is made in rustic style but always stays cool (irrespective of you switching off the AC, fan), washroom are clean and with facilities with lemongrass fragrance. Toiletries are provided by the team, they provide tea coffee ready mixes for those who want to make some for drinking while sitting in patio. You can go in the river via the route made specifically for it. Since it's march the water levels were low and you could walk through the river. We also did a fab Abhayangam ayurvedic message (they have a fab message center, with very helpful team Abhi and his wife!) Highly Recommended. They have a plethora of Ayurvedic messages for various requirements. Do check at reception. You can purchase organic products too (Like Haldi, Mirchi Powder, Ghee from gir cows, ayurvedic products, cold pressed coconut oil, handmade soaps.) From their reception. We were sent home with fresh vegetables, fruits and lot of happy memories!

Worse than Terrible services
Reviewed By ScorpionQueResort has NO CO-ORDINATION within their own staff. Staff Does not even know the resort is full or no, just confirms it verbally and when tried calling one day prior to make advance payment, does not pick up calls, no call back. Finally Co-owner states that the resort is full. This kind of pathetic service at the very beginning itself.
