Prey Pros Rest Area

This restaurant is a favourite stop for travellers from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap and vice versa , its convenient location along National highway 6.
They served breakfast, lunch and dinner, prices are rather reasonable.
We stop by for lunch on our way to SR.
One dish must try is Fish Amok , this dish is served with banana leaf, nice touch.
There is a mini mart within the restaurant selling handicrafts, dried foods and tropical fruits, rather expensive, a bunch of bananas cost $2
Nice place to rest and relax and recharge before continuing your journey.
Safe trip everyone.

Kampong Thom Restaurant

We took the Mekong Express from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap, and there was a 30 minute break in between for lunch. For 5 bucks a dish, portions were really small, and on top of that, rice is still extra. I got a much smaller portion than my boyfriend even though we were paying the same price. I like my rice! The food was average, but when you've been stuck on an uncomfortable bus for 3.5 hours, a warm meal is much appreciated. We ordered a small and a medium, dish but they looked the same size. They tried to overcharge us, but we argued, and the amount was changed. What was a big plus for this place was that food came very quickly! We found that our experience with Cambodia is that it takes a while for food to arrive. When you only have 30 minutes, speed is important.

Went here for a banquet style meal so perhaps not an accurate depiction of what a standard dining experience would be. However, what was nice was that the upstair banquet room was air-con ready. Much to my surprise, the fish soup was amazing. I would never have ordered than on my own. The rest of the dishes we had we were not so memorable, but good enough.

Awesome food; local and western selections. Was staying down the way and basically had every meal here. So definitely was here once a day - sometimes came twice a day. Great wine selections for the area. Beautiful pool for the area. You'll be so happy to find this place, especially if its between this and one of the restaurants on the main drag where the buses stop. Really, the service is great, the food is great, and the ambiance was great. Checked out the hotel rooms and they were nice, albeit a bit pricey for the area, but I would pay if staying in KT again. Also, good free wifi.
Enjoy!

Love Cafe & Pizza

Reviewed By DavidGranger - Phnom Penh, Cambodia

This is without a doubt the best Western food restaurant in Kompong Thom. It is on a side street leading from the centre of town, but worth finding.
The menu was built by a western chef. There are delicious pizzas, burgers, chicken wings, spicy wedges, fries, pastas, and other Western foods. They also make their own ice-cream...the cookies-n-cream is amazing.
Prices are very reasonable and they give loyalty cards that give discounts on multiple visits.
No alcohol is served here, so bring your own if you want to drink. It's not currently open for breakfast or lunch unfortunately.
Definitely the best Western food in Kompong Thom.

Soban Teuk

We only work by reservation for the moment to better take care of our customers. Our English is not perfect but we can communicate. We prefer small groups up to 12 people but also solo travelers, couple etc. We are a Franco-Khmer couple and we offer quality Khmer and French cuisine as well as a fusion of both. We make our breads and our cheeses. We offer scooter rides with or without pilots in the rice paddies to meet the local population, but also the discovery of Phnom Santuk, the pre-Angkorian sacred mountain with its pre-Angkorian sculptures and fauna. Meeting with monks and opportunity to participate in some of their Buddhist rituals. Our accommodations are very comfortable and equipped.

Soban Teuk is not only a great place to enjoy an original and very tasty homemade khmer food (their duck curry is just memorable !!! ) but also a base camp to discover the lovely countryside around Kompong Thom.
We visited Phnomh Santuk, a pre Angkorian temple with stunning lying Bouddha statues and hidden carvings and had a great motorbike ride crossing rice paddies, wooden Bridges and beautiful landscapes. Thanks to our hosts Rico and Kunthy we discovered also many aspects of Cambodian farmers daily life.
Highly recommendable for food lovers interested in local culture still unspoiled by mass tourism.

This new cafe is the best place to stop to grab a coffee, a snack or meal and use the bathroom.
The menu is in english, the coffee is FANTASTIC and the toilets are very clean and modern.
Cheap Khmer meals were quick to come out and the staff are really friendly.
