Private, rest for the soul
Reviewed By Roman RAt the end of July 2018 we visited Peipsi Lake House in Kallaste. We really enjoyed the time we had there. Hosts were very friendly, ready to help in each situation. There are big house and separately located apartment on the same territory. Private area goes till the Peipsi Lake; you can get there fresh cherries, strawberies; playground for children; places for barbeque; and huge area just covered with grass. The bigger house is full of smaller rooms for rent. We decided to stay in apartment. Apartment is on the ground floor. It is 73 m2. Big fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with sauna, living room, 2 bedrooms. All the apartment is fresh, new, made with good taste. You can find absolutely everything you need for your vacation inside in apartment. There are 2 entries, main and door that leads directly to the yard. The nearest shop (Coop) is about 500m far from the place. Gas station (Alexela) is in Alatskivi, 6,5 km from Peipsi Lake House. There are 2 beaches infront of the territory, small and quiet. If you walk about 10 minutes, you will reach a big and beautiful beach with all facilities. I am sure that we will come back to this place. Nature, private, huge area, lake - that is that we need, that we want.

The Laguun Hostel is situated in the naturally beautiful town of Kallaste on the picturesque shore of Lake Peipsi. The building is not large but offers pleasant cosiness. A splendid view to Lake Peipsi and a sandy beach opens from its windows. This place is perfect for enjoying a beautiful summer day, sunbathing and swimming. The lake bottom is sandy and thus safe for sports games both for young and old. There is also a volleyball court on the beach. There is a space suitable for having a picnic with barbeque by the hostel. There is also plenty of space for camping and caravan parking in the hostel's territory.
Terrible client service
Reviewed By alarjReserved via booking.com. Got confirmation by e-mail. ~2 hours prior arrival got phone call from owner -- sorry, they have no rooms, I can cancel without extra costs. They have no idea what I have to do next. Owner first blamed booking -- my confirmed reservation was booking fault. The hotel could be nice but owners attitude is absolutely disappointing. Do not recommend this hotel -- you could get cancelation message at the very last moment.

overpriced horrible food
Reviewed By marjekasWe ordered fried pelmens and those were more like oven dried ones, no oil used. For that price one would get 4 packages of pelmens from the store and the serving was only 1/3 of a package. Meat sauce had only previous day leftover meatloaf in it and sauce was made with ketchup. No fresh salad, just some slices of salty cucumber. With prices like that one would expect delicate handmade pelmens and real meat in meat sauce and fresh salad. Service was ok
