Clean and prompt service from restaurant staff. Ample seating capacity with lift accessibility. Ordered the premium set. Cost around 1650yen (includes salt grilled fish ,a plate of sashimi and free flow of hot green tea) Money worth!

After experiencing the sand baths in Ibusuki, we had to catch a train to Makurazaki at around 115 pm so we scouted for a restaurant near Ibusuki Station. We googled ramen restaurants and picked Taketora. We never regretted the decision. We arrived at around 1215 pm but there was a queue so we were worried we might miss our train if we couldnt be accomodated. Anyway, we got in around 1245 noon and we were served one of the best tasting ramens in Kagoshima. It was basically tonkotsu broth but one can choose from salt (shio), soy sauce (shoyuu) or miso (bean paste). If only we had time, we would have tasted the gyoza and other dishes. The place was modern but with Japanese interiors. And the piped in jazz music was very soothing. We hurriedly ate our ramen and got to the station on time (it was a 5 minute walk). I highly recommend Taketora.
