Overall, a nice restaurant with excellent wait staff. Had a nice dinner here. This restaurant also served as the hotel's buffet breakfast service. This summer my guests and I were treated to one of the best "Kro" meals I have experienced in Denmark! The service, wine, perfection and presentation of the meal-were above excellent. I have traveled and dined throughout Scandinavia, and many times in Denmark, but I give this "Kro "excellent marks-and I plan to return and urge you to give it a chance. Dining in Danish Kros is a wondeful experience, but this one is superior!

Came with some customers who are also friends and again were warmly welcomed and offered English menus.Great selection of food including traditional Danish dishes. Efficient service and incredible potion sizes! I would not have a starter next time.....I had eel which was good. Local beers too from Virklund which we enjoyed.Great setting by the river / lakes.

This is just one of those secret places that you would go for every time you get near the area. Situated beautifully at the old train station, in the waitingroom, this restaurant just has the perfect and romantic setting. The room is carefully restored with a very good sense of the old style of the station.The food and service is fine. Most of the food seems local and home made. Its is traditionally danish food with a modern twist. The staff is very friendly. We can only recommend the place.

Orangeriet is located in Gl. Skovriddergaard a property mainly used for conferences and meetings in a gorgeous location on the outskirts of Silkeborg. The food at Orangeriet is very good whether for lunch or dinner. Went there to celibrate 31 years wedding anniversery. And it was a great experience..Tried their wednesday menu with a glass of wine. I dont eat fish so I got a special starter which was not on the menu. Great service and very friendly staff.Only minus was that we got a very small table halfway in a doorway..
