Very friendly and helpful hosts

Reviewed By Chewy1314

Myself and a friend stayed here in July 2018. We had a twin room which was comfortable and very clean and had use of lots of shared amenities like kitchen and indoor and outdoor areas to relax and unwind. The hosts, Claudia and Marius were very friendly and welcoming and had lots of local knowledge to assist us in our stay. They offer local cuisine at breakfast and also the option of evening meals which I would totally recommend. I am vegetarian and had struggled a bit in Romania with limited options but they provided lovely, fresh and local dishes and also some extra tasters.

Casa Crinei

Een hele vakantie woning voor jezeld

Reviewed By anke k

Bella Marina

Horrible! Definitely not 4 stars!

Reviewed By rumpel16

I would like to start with the check-in, which was at about 3pm and the receptionist was surprised that we were checking in. We had booked a VIP apartment (the most expensive) and a double room. Upon entering the room we noticed the ceiling was brown around the AC unit and the toilet wasn’t working so I went down to the reception to report it. I was asked to return to the room as someone would come to fix the problem and someone did come and explained that if someone blocked the toilet by throwing paper in, all the toilets in the hotel get blocked at the same time...seriously?! Is this not the year 2020?! And if you have this problem, what are the steps you are taking to solve this? We left the rooms and went to the reception to see what they recommend to see or what trips are available. They recommend a guy that did taxi trips on the lake to Gura Portitei (I absolutely recommend going there, especially when it’s only 12€ per person). We returned to the room and turned on the AC, but had to turn it off as it was leaking (hence the brown ceiling around the AC). When we opened the door to the terrace there were loads of spiders around the door and some entered the room (have you heard of PEST CONTROL? How are you even opened in these conditions?) The next morning we found that the ventilation in the bathroom wasn’t working and the air in there would turn your stomach, so you couldn’t use it unless you had the door opened. I also noticed that next to the bath tub there are 2 nails coming through the wall. When I checked they were the nails that held the hanger from the living room (pictures taken in the bathroom of VIP Apartment 406). This is not safe, clearly you are not providing matts to ensure people do not slip in the path (mandatory for a 4 star property) so if someone slips and hits their head there, well you do the math. I’ve also had the impression that hot water is only available at certain hours as on the first day we didn’t have any after 8pm, but the next day we had no problem around 6pm. I would also like to mention that we tried to pull the couch to use as a second bed, but there was a lot of mold underneath so we decided not to do it, when I tried to talk to someone about this either no one was around or I was told that no manager is there. In the 6 times I went to the 24h reception, only 1 time someone was there (at check in). What kind of hotel with a restaurant and a bar doesn’t give the facility to pay with a card either for the accommodation or for restaurant/bar? Again is this not 2020? They have credit card facilities up in the mountains! All in all I will never return to this property and I would not recommend anyone to stay here unless you want to waste your money.
