This place has amazing traditional Czech tavern food, the usual great Czech beers, with some surpizes (Hoegaarden on nitro!). The staff are friendly to English speakers and three days a week (wednsday thursday Friday?... Not sure) they grill a traditional BBQ upstairs in the garden at the restaurant! (the mushrooms are evil-good). Jablonec is not that off the beaten path, so this place was a cool way to get an authentic contemporary taste of Czeck tavern fare. Also is a safe place to be when all that pivo and slivovitz kick in! New - tank beer Pilsner Urquell

This place is actually a two-in-one experience. In the main restaurant they serve up typical Czech fare with modern worldy twists. (IE Alabama cornflake fried chicken) Three days a week (wednsday thursday Friday?... Not sure) they grill a homestyle BBQ upstairs in the garden! (the mushrooms are evil-good). Downstairs, starting at 5pm in the pivnice I was delighted with traditional Czech tavern food (best fried cheese I've had), with the usual great Czech beers, and some surpizes (Hoegaarden on nitro!). The staff are friendly to English speakers and Jablonec is not that off the beaten Poland-Prauge path so this place was a cool way to get an authentic and well priced contemporary taste of Czech drink/dining.

We had lunch in this restaurant. Overall, typical Czech cuisine, quite tasty dishes, good service. Not a fancy place..

Een voor Tsjechische begrippen prima restaurant met een zeer vriendelijke eigenaar/gastheer die gelukkig goed Duitsspreekt. De prijzen zijn voor Tsjechië bovengemiddeld, maar voor westerlingen zeer laag. Een borreltje vooraf, een hoofdgerecht (zeer veel keus), een nagerecht, en wijn voor ongeveer € 12,00. Ben je in de buurt van Smrzovka, dan moet je hier beslist gaan eten.

A lovely restaurant, with apartments which is close to the town centre. The staff speak English, are welcoming, and the food is very good. Lovely atmosphere!

I have dined here many times. Why? The cuisine is delicious ! I have to say, Czech cuisine is among the best, if not THE best in the world, and I have traveled the world. The restaurant was completely remodeled last year. It is now very cosy, cabin type. New bathrooms are beautiful and extremely clean. I always order pepper steak with herb smash potatoes. Absolutely the best. The meat is best quality, cooking unmatched. I absolutely recommend having a meal or/and drink here. BTW. they have the UNFILTERED Czech beer here - the best ! Enjoy !

Na opravdu nečekaném místě nabízí dobrou kuchyni, ale je pravda, že s ohledem na misto a lokalitu bych tak vysoké ceny nečekala. Vnitřek restaurace celkem příjemný, ale v restauraci jsme byli sami a toalety jsou naprosto děsný. Také otevírací doba restaurace je zvláštní.

I´ve been here for countless times and never got disappointed! Talking of the food? Oh you have no clue! Anything you will choose on the menu will just make you feel happy, you can´t choose wrong. They have mostly Czech traditional cuisine, and try their bread, it is baked over there and just way too delicious! And prices? for this destination almost riddiculous! So today I had a cabagge soup (zelňačka) with bread and half of the best Žemlovka in my life, 0,5 litre of Raspberry soda (točená malinovka) and paid 110 Kč, not bad, huh?
Btw, they also have really lovely accommodation and it is the best place to start your mountain adventures all through the year! My mother celebrated her birthday there, a frind of mine her wedding and everybody was just happy!

Stumbled on this place just along from the swimming pool (which is also a great little activity) which in turn is a stone throw from the reservoir (great little walk and nice swimming in the summer).
