Been a few years since I visited New Orleans, but GW Fins was on my todo list and I am sure glad it was. The food was fantastic, the service exemplary, and the evening was a great success. This is a DO NOT MISS establishment for "foodies!"

French Truck Coffee Shop is an excellent choice for a quick breakfast. They have a simply menu with just a few breakfast choices, but the wallet sandwich for about $9 is very good choice. It’s made with egg, ham, goat cheese on a waffle.
They have a reputation of have some of the best coffee in the Warehouse District.

Awesome lunch with the family, very excited to get to check it out. We waited in the fast moving line and secured a table during the busy lunch rush, and it was a fantastic time. My daughter had a cheeseburger slider and a fried chicken slider, with waffle fries, and wiped it all out. I decided to get the special, the Des Allemanos Fried Catfish sandwich. A sizable serving of fried catfish brushed with "so hot, you want more" sauce, bread & butter pickles and tarragon slaw. Served on a buttered and toasted housemate bun, it was a triumph of a sandwich. I had a cup of coffee, because this location is yet to serve booze. That's a shame, especially in this city. Nevertheless, the donuts were alone worth the trip. My daughter loved her chocolate glazed, and I went with a monster Cookie Butter Brudder, a donut glazed in cookie butter with biscoff cookies, chocolate cookies and chocolate chip cookies. What a delight! Awesome time!

I had the salted caramel and turtle ice cream and it was delicious! There was a line in the shop and it is cash only but we were not disappointed. The ice cream is flavorful and creamy and the prices were reasonable. I would go back again.

While we have been to NOLA many times over several decades this was our first trip to Upper Line.
Reservations have to be made by phone, where the owner informs you that they are not in the Quarter and you can’t walk to the restaurant and it is a cab ride away. Then she tells you that you can eat at 6:15p.m or 8:30p.m., even though you want to make a reservation weeks in advance. She is a successful institution in NOLA and she apparently couldn’t care less whether she attracted new customers or not.
It is pre fixed menu and well priced for (3) courses. Three in our party had Fried Green Tomatos with Shrimp Remoulade which everyone enjoyed. Three of us had the veal Grillades which were excellent but a microscopic portion. One of us had the Rack of Lamb and three of us had the Sundae Eugene and I had Irish coffee.
It was very good meal but hardly worth all the fuss and a taxi ride. As we were leaving regulars were greeting the owner as if she were Julia Child herself.

Wow. We had the best sundae ever at Sucre. Great gelato selections. Also an amazing selection of macarons. This is like Laduree or Fauchon opening a dessert boutique in New Orleans. Extremely Parisian vibe. Bright, clean, uplifting decor. Wonderful stop for dessert or snacks. Worth ditching the diet for. Big smiles all around our group at Sucre.

Fabulous food! We went for lunch and tried small plates of pickles,tabouleh, brussel sprouts. All were excellent. Tried 2 different hummus the asparagus and tahini again both excellent. Split the chicken schnitzel sandwich and again excellent. Hot fresh cooked pita ...coming out constant..delicious!
We did get dessert..actually tried 3 and sorry to say they all missed the mark. But did not really care as all the other food was outstanding!

As the name implies, this is a candy place, though they do have ice cream. We tried several pralines (sweet potato, rum, coconut, and original) and they were all very good. A milk chocolate covered cherry was also very good. Definitely recommend this place, but it is just short of greatness (AKA 5 stars).

Macaroons are delicious! Gelato was very good, too. Nice area with inside and outside tables. The staff is friendly and helpful in answering questions about all of the things they have to choose from. The eclairs were gorgeous and I wish I could've had a little taste of everything.

Great little afternoon stop for my wife, my daughter and me. I had the Lomo Bocadillo which was very nice. My wife had the Il Mostro, which was really really good. I preferred hers. My daughter had the rustic grilled cheese with bacon added. A little heavy, but it was pretty decent. They have a good Bloody Mary and a great local craft beer selection. The restaurant itself is cute. We sat outside just because it was a pretty day out but the inside decor and setup is inviting also. The prices are moderate-high so be prepared to spend $12+ on just your sandwich. It’s worth it though. Pickle plate had some great variety and flavors, highly recommend. Really great service. Great experience over all. We’ll be back!
