Smokin Buns BBQ

Had dinner with group of friends Saturday. Very efficient service for group over 10. Waitress was very friendly and mindful. Everyone got their meal quickly except one which was misplaced but it happens. Food was hot and fresh tasting. Tried sweet sauce and it was delicious. I had the brisket and smoked sausage. The sausage was very flavorful and fairly mild. The brisket was good but a little dry. Overall, I’ll definitely be back. My wife had ribs and I’ll have to try them. She was licking her fingers and that’s always a good sign.

Have been to many tropical smoothies, this one was at best average. Visited during the lunch rush, so I understand a little wait, no issues there. The store feels very cramped and the chips racked was completely ravaged with only a few less than desirable flavors left. Overall it was fine, but I have been to much nicer locations.

Shipley Doughnuts

This place was near our hotel so we decided to try it. I had the chocolate cream filled yeast glazed donut. First of all, it was freah. Secondly, WHAT do they put in the glaze??? It tasted better than any donut glaze I can remember having before. Lastly, the chocolate filling is what they put on their long johns. So darn delicious, worth every bite, every calorie. They also have sandwiches on biscuits or croissants and something called kolaches. It's basically a sausage wrapped inside dough and cooked. My husband had one and liked it. Definitely worth stopping in for.

Truly excellent Italian food. The sauces and pasta are very good. Seating is comfortable. The only draw-back was the noise level in the second seating area. Three large parallel lines of table and guests all competing for loudness and to be heard. Good food, bad noise level.

We are a family owned, older style burger joint with a twist. We make all of our delicious treats fresh from scratch as you order! We are Home of the Brisket Burger because we hand select fresh briskets to grind in house daily. Our fries are some of the best in the state as we hand cut gourmet Kennebec potatoes and sprinkle them with our house seasoning giving them a sweet, savory flavor. We keep an open kitchen so everyone can see how we make our World Famous Fried Pies! Now these are not your average fried pies either. These are just like grandma use to make. Our light and flakey pies are made from scratch to order. All of our pies are 8-10 ounces and range in flavors from fruit, cream and even savory meat pies! If that's not enough, customers can mix and match any two flavors to create their own pie. So stop by today, we would love to meet you!

I come here strictly for the queso. I haven't found another place in Jacksonville that has a better dip. Their other platters are typical of what you'll find at other Mexican places nothing really special of note.

Great pho but don't stop there. Try the fried tofu if you want to try something different. We have never had a so-so dish. The flavors jump out at you and the vegetables are fresh. We were trying to find a place to meet and eat. One of our friends did not want to go to a Tex mex but an authentic Mexican resturant. She suggested cancun in Jacksonville. Oh boy! It was delicious, service was great, every dish serve had a great flavor.
We have found an awesome place to eat authentic Mexican food. Can't wait to try the margaritas.
