Owned and run by English Simon and his Brazilian wife, we are super super clean - you could eat off the floor but I would not suggest it. We arrange everything - boat trips, jeep tours and our breakfasts are legendary. Private rooms en-suite, sea and island views, air con, fridge, hammocks, pool, garden. 10 years in Paraty, safe and quiet on the beach.we have a Canadian canoe for guests to use , we are 1 mile from the center of the old town , some people walk it in 15 minutes some people take an hour or two if they stop for a drink along the way its up to you , there are buses that go to town but as for timetables its still Brasil so do not expect any , it is quiet here we are visited by birds and monkeys hope you will like it here thanksSimon
The Best Hosts in Paraty!

It's just short walk to the old town of Paraty, and is situated on Jabaquara beach, which has plenty of bars and kiosks to choose from if you want drink, dine, and relax by the sea. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the property is a lovely tranquil place to unwind complete with stunning ocean views, and birdsong in the mornings. Simon and Helena are simply the best hosts we've ever stayed with. Wonderfully helpful with advice on the local wildlife, nature spots, and tours. There is a delicious fresh breakfast served every morning, and you might even see a monkey dining on the balcony nearby if Simon and Helena have left a frozen banana out for them! We started planning our next visit even before we had left.

Jabaquara Beach Resort is a new pousada that welcomed its first guests in November 2012. We are located at the end of Jabaquara beach and offer various types of accommodation (rooms, suites and bungalows), all with private bathroom, some with private garden and BBQ, spaciously set on 4500 m2 of land. We even have a football field. A full breakfast (with a spectacular mountain view) is included.

Reviewed By Paul BWe (2 adults and 2 teenage children) stayed at the beach resort for four nights. We stayed in the blue bungalow. It was clean (it got the clean approval rating from my wife) and spacious and the teenagers were kept happy by the presence of good WiFi. The beds were good, there was a TV, a cooker, cooking utensils and a large fridge. We self-catered for some of the stay and also ate at the restaurants along the beach. Breakfast at the resort was good and there was enough to keep the teenagers happy. We enjoyed sitting on the terrace at breakfast looking out across the forest to the hills. The breakfast was made and provided by Sunamita who was excellent and friendly. The pool was clean. The birdwatching around the resort and along the beach was very good. The resort is also close to a road that goes through the mangroves and the bird watching here was also good. I would recommend this location for those who want a quiet stay as it is away from the main town.

Quiet oasis
Reviewed By Stuart-Kiwi3We just had 3 nights at this great hotel. Fun 50s retro decor with super comfy beds and amazing pillows. Hotel had a nice pool in the middle of the cabanas. Breakfast was outstanding with fresh fruits and freshly baked cakes every day!!! Staff were most helpful and attentive. We enjoyed the 20 min walk into Paraty for dinner each night.

Estávamos confusos com o endereço, eram 02:00 da manhã e ainda não havíamos chegado e a mesma ligou para responsável pela locação, pois estava preocupada com a nossa demora. Dna tereza nos ligou e orientou via tel, melhor do que o WAZE e o Google Maps. Estava nos esperando em pé no portão, nos acomodou e quando acordamos tinham um café da manhã tipo casa de vó. pão FRESQUINHO, suco de laranja (da FRUTA), leite quente e frio, café, iogurte, presunto, queijo, ovos mexidos, frutas frescas. E a todo momento ela com os familiares inspecionando para ver se estava faltando algo. Os quartos limpos, com ar condicionado novo, ventilador de teto, tv, frigobar, roupas de cama e banho LIMPAS, e durante nossa estadia nos foi perguntado se queríamos que fossem trocados. Tanto ela, quanto seu esposo e familiares foram SUPER SIMPÁTICOS, CARISMÁTICOS e interagiu cosnosco durante todo o tempo. Pra quem procura BOM PREÇO, ACONCHEGO, AMBIENTE FAMILIAR super recomendo. Diante do que paguei...superou minhas expectativas.
