Reviewed By Dun123We stayed at the Pensjonat Amelia during at a 2 night break in Iwonicz-Zdrój whilst we visited the nearby Dukla pass battle sites. First I should explain that Iwonicz-Zdrój is a beautiful small spa town and the impression we had is that it's not an international tourist destination but caters to regional tourists which was great, giving it a far more authentic environment, rather than a place dominated by chain hotels and American fast food outlets (there are none!!). This description would apply to the Pensjonat Amelia a local hotel traditional hotel. We arrived by car and had no problem finding it with the satnav, the hotel sat on a hill slope on the edge of the resort center which is just a few minutes walk away. Parking is in angled bays on the road outside the hotel and we had no problem finding parking however it did seem to get busy at some times. We speak no Polish however the friendly receptionist, who thankfully spoke some English, completed the check-in process with no issues. Now for a positive which might distort my review, we had booked a double but were given a suite (room 31) which was great, consisting of 2 bedrooms, living area, bathroom etc. The room was nicely decorated and furnished to a high standard, offering a comfortable stay. A couple of slight negatives for some, the room was at the highest point and furthest away from the reception so with no lift, there are a few stairs to negotiate which may prove restrictive for some and I couldn't connect to the Wi-Fi (my wife could). Also with a balcony offering beautiful views there was no chairs to be able to sit and enjoy the stunning environment. We stayed on a b & b basis with breakfast served in the 1st floor dining area. The room itself was fairly straight forward but served the purpose and the breakfast clearly directed to local tastes. Personally we thought it was great to try different things, the food tasty, totally believing in 'when in Poland do as the Polish'! One criticism though having to make your own coffee, I was thrown the second morning when the nescafe was taken away, some English labelling on the jars would have been helpful. Pensjonat Amelia without being patronising is clearly focused on shall we say an older and regional clientele, my wife who is Russian felt it had aspects relating back to the Soviet era, but this isn't a negative, it's great to see local culture hanging on and was very enjoyable experience! In many ways Iwonicz Zdroj and Pensjonat Amelia offers an unique experience, don't go there expecting Disneyland staying in the Ritz, it's a great value authentically local experience which is recommended.

Willa Rubinia is situated in Iwonicz Zdroj, one of the oldest health and spa resorts in Poland and it offers non-smoking accommodation with free private parking and beautiful pool. Rooms at Rubinia are classically decorated and come with a flat-screen TV, a seating area and a balcony. A private bathroom is fitted with a shower and a hairdryer. Free Wi-Fi is also available. There is a fully equipped kitchen at the villa where guests can prepare their meals. A spacious dining room is also provided. The beautiful surroundings are perfect for hiking or cycling and guests can relax at the pool too.

Reviewed By A AThe rooms where very spacious and balconies had great view. Even though Iwonicz is densely habitet, Willa Rubinia is situated on the very top of the town and build in a way, that made us feel comfortably independent from anyone or anything. Awesome pool and we love the host.

Chociaż pensjonat ma swoje lata, to wnętrza i standard nie ustępują wielu nowym obiektom. Lokalizacja jest korzystna, ceny umiarkowane. Na szczególną pochwałę zasługują śniadania - są bardzo różnorodne i smaczne.

Reviewed By eliszkabObiekt położony przy głównym deptaku, w związku z tym wszędzie blisko. Był to 8-dniowy pobyt leczniczy. Samo zakwaterowanie, czyli noclegi i posiłki - średnie. Zdecydowanie szwankowało sprzątanie pokoju, nikt nawet nie zapytał, czy czegoś nie potrzeba. Dopiero po kilku interwencjach zostały zabrane z kosza śmieci. Zabiegi odbywały się w innym budynku, w odległości 10min.piechotą. Dobór zabiegów - indywidualny, po spotkaniu z lekarzem. Obsługa w tym miejscu -b.dobra.

Nieuczciwe zasady rezerwacji
Reviewed By niezadowolona2017Przed przyjazdem do sanatorium dokonałam telefoniczną rezerwację jednoosobowego pokoju (studium z łazienką do podziału z sąsiednim pokojem). Po przyjeździe na miejsce poproszono mnie o zapłatę, za wcześniej dokonaną rezerwację, w kwocie 30 zł. Po udaniu się do pokoju okazało się, że nie jest to studium dwupokojowe tylko dwuosobowy pokój. Po rozmowie ze współlokatorką, okazało się, że nie musiała płacić za rezerwację. Ponownie udałam się na recepcję w celu wyjaśnienia. Zwrócono mi kwotę za wcześniej dokonaną rezerwację oraz kazano mi porozmawiać z kierownikiem. Interwencja u kierownika nie przyniosła rezultatu, jest to osoba niekompetentna, nieuprzejma, nie potrafiąca przyznać się do błędu. Nigdy nie zostałam przeproszona za zaistniałą sytuację przez żadnego pracownika sanatorium. Zostałam zignorowana i powiedziano mi że dostaje to, co zarezerwowałam.
