Visited this local restaurant on a night tour from Appi Kogen. It is located near Fuga Park. Non English speaking serving staff but we had basic Japanese food words and they did us justice. Food was simple and delicious. We had sashimi (simply sliced with little precision - it is not a hatted restaurant after all), Karaage chicken and hot sake, the bill was ¥2300. A real bargain from resort restaurants' prices. Note we had ramen in another restaurant half hour before so it really was a top-up...Other customers were local folks and service was swift and no fuss. Just be prepared to call out "sumimasen" for the server's attention.We were lucky as dined reasonably early thus avoided smoking diners who arrived after us. Would love to try out other local restaurants in town for the rest of our stay but smoking seems to be the acceptable norm in restaurants and bars in town.
