Great down home family restaurant! Feels cozy and has WIFI. The food is great, and although the menu was not so vegetarian friendly, I didn't have a problem getting some veggie nachos and a side of steamed vegetables. The wait staff is very friendly and I felt welcome.

Bad costumer service, the waiters where very rude to our table. When we ask for another round the waiters where all talking and ignoring us. Not going back Dear Andy, I'm so sorry to hear that this happened to you, I would appreciate if you could you please give me more details about your visit, when was it? Around what time? What did your waiter look like? At Casa Vieja we work very hard everyday to give the best costumer service we can offer so I want to make sure this never happens again. We began with Fundido de queso which is the equivalent of cheese fondue with sausage. This was so good. The atmosphere of sharing authentic cuisine in an antique filled space with friends was memorable.We ordered the Parrillada Mixa for 6 even though we had 7. The meats were so good, chicken, sausage, pork were all delicious, the beef was a bit tough. The beans and rice were the usual but the marinated vegetables were supurb. As always in Honduras the handmade tortillas were the best. We had more than enough to eat with 3 boxes to take home. This is a must for anyone visiting La Esperanza.

I love this place!!!! I was in Honduras for a missions trip and ate at this restaurant every morning and still couldn't get enough of this place! The service was great and the food just about unbeatable! We need to get some of these places in the US!!
