Wine region - the most popular in the Czech Republic - South Moravia - Palava nearby from Mikulov
The Hotel Pavlov has the best restaurant in the area. I tried several places, but this one is far the best. Often there is tasting combination of food and best local wines. I really like that this restaurant does not favour any of them but really offers the best ones. Here I could taste both - the local cuisine for quick lunch and I also had gourmet menu with international cuisine. I also had a great local fish. Sometimes on the afternoon it is great to have a cake and coffee on the Terrace. The village Pavlov is great one.

We visited this place for my birthday lunch, food&drinks fine-not perfect but really good. What is absolutelly unaccepted is level of service(only one older waiter lady was do nice&friendly), other persons on service NEED training. Bring soups before starters, main meals together with soup, than bring main meals cold like ice, ufff, management or owners wake up quickly!!! It was my first and for long time last visit, better try another winery around...

The restaurant, owned by a wine producer, is among the vineyards. The place is beautiful. Customers are almost all Czech and entry of foreigners in the restaurant is looked at with suspicion? I ate an excellent salad accompanied with a good 2013 white wine from the producer. The atmosphere as someone said is cold and the staff is not friendly. PS: One the group ate risotto. Be careful as the definition of risoto for a Czech is deferent from the original one.

Very relaxing place where we like to return, this time only for lunch. Comfortable Seating outside under an umbrellas, romantic view on the Bořetice church, just great bustle of the wedding guests, waiters almost not managed to serve guests. Recommendation of regional wines (VOC Blue Mountains) on selected dishes on the menu isn´t in every restaurant. Salad with goat cheese was a better choice, grilled pork was a little harder and dried-up ... So the decline of the reputation which perhaps somewhat remedied excellent, strong espresso.

There are sorts of wine that are popular, others are rare. Cabernet Moravia is not so frequent so once in Velke Pavlovice try to taste this sort of wine and have a look at the cellar of the Zborovsky winery. People can taste wine in different environments, but believe me the special atmofphere of the wine cellar is unforgettable.

We visited this restaurant on our way home, but it was definitely worth an extra mile. This restaurant has truly good service, absolutely attentive and friendly. We were a group of 9 including 3 toddlers running around the place all the time and no one remonstrated. If you are a steak person, this is your place. Not saying that the rest of the menu is worthless. At this place you simply cannot make a wrong choice.

Absolutely luxurious restaurant located in a place I grew up..
Not only for gourmets from all the world or fans of spanish cuisine either..
it may happen you stay absolutely thrilled with all those great-looking meals and courses being served to you, which according to myself, worth to take trip to Kurdejov.
There are not so many things to complain about except for the price policy which allowes me to pay a visit BCG only few times a year.
As a positive aspect i see possibilities to combine your gourmet experience with doing a sightseeing nearby.

Hidden in the corner of the Mikulov wine region in the centre of Palava. Nicely renovated place with a good selection of great local wines. Very good food, prepared with care and creativity. It offers a calm, cosy atmosphere in a small, private environment. Costs more than the average, but one of the best establishments in the area which is not too posh. We will return.

The main advantage of our newly opened restaurant will be combination of traditional ingredients from South Moravia, prepared according to contemporary trends of French cuisine, and traditional Moravian meals accompanied by original side dishes in French style. The guests can, of course, look forward to perfect service and excellent South Moravian and French wines.
This restaurant shows that it's the staff what makes a difference. Extremely nice and friendly people. Food is excellent, prices are very fair. Menu is short and simple but this is exactly how I like it. 10 or so main courses to choose from is a guarantee that everything is fresh. Very good experience indeed.

V sobotu ve 4 odpoledne nabídka i z denní menu, mimo polévky, na to nás obsluha hned upozornila. Jídlo výborné, ceny v normě. Rychlá a příjemná obsluha.
