What a wonderful find amidst the road construction carnage that is I-35 in Central Texas. We found this place by luck, after driving from DFW towards Temple, and discovering that we had a ways to go, and dinner would be a great idea. Luckily, (in Texas at least), we saw a load of pickups parked in the parking lot, designating to us that locals ate here. Always a good sign.
The atmosphere was roadhouse style, the service was terrific, and the food was far better than expected. I had grilled shrimp tacos and they were as good as any I've had at any high end seafood restaurant anywhere. Since I live on the North Puget Sound, I feel I speak with some expertise. What a surprise. The whole experience was terrific.
They have a wide ranging menu, and drink specials are featured nightly from what I could ascertain. Full bar was in the back. Great place. We'll be back again.

I received good service at this location but prices are too high. I purchased a breakfast item that was about $4.50, and I was disappointed. It was twice the price it should have been. I won't be buying any more of those.

This is a family favorite. We tend to stop and get a shake on the way town. The ice cream is great and the service is very good. Someday, road construction will be completed on the highway to give easier access.

This little lady makes some of the best kolaches around. She has a wide variety of fresh and sometimes day old. Fruit filled or meat w/cheese. They will gladly warm up anything you want. Great for any occasion or meal. I usually get something with meat for either breakfast, lunch or fruit filled for a snack or desert. They're all yummy and better than any donut ! They do rank right up there with Round Rock Donuts near Austin.

Well most donuts are just donuts and this is a nice little place that makes donuts. Nothing good or bad to say about them. I usually just get a bag of donut holes.

Excellent food! The special was the 2”pork chop! Our table ordered brisket, ribs, pork chop and their take on a Frito Pie. We all enjoyed our food and you don’t even need a knife! All of the sides are homemade and what we had was great! The Best was of course dessert, Pecan Cobbler! Service was great and maybe Elle Mae will be your waitress!

Our coffee is a light and nutty roast from Counter Culture Coffee. Our parking lot accommodates boats and travelers. Come enjoy a delicious coffee or steeped tea and let us serve you.

I visited by myself this time because I longed for one of their lattes. They come in the perfect cup for enjoying it to its fullest. I also had the spinach quiche and this time it had a hash brown crust so it was gluten free!
This is such a quaint place located in historic downtown and more than a coffee shop. Sandwich plates with sides are served daily as well as soups and desserts. A unique place to visit with a friend or by yourself like I did on this visit. A good selection and variety on the menu. Indoor and outdoor seating. Art by local artists displayed for sale on the walls. Friendly staff and a favorite gathering spot.

This is a great little place just off the main interstate and has all the usual treats that you'd expect at a Dairy Queen. It is a new facility and very clean and shiny! Everything good that comes to mind about Dairy Queen is this place. But if you don't know it is there, you will miss it!! So look for the signs on the road.

The food was very here and they have reasonable prices. Catfish was excellent. Food coming out was a little slow but we were not in a hurry.
