This started out as a small restaurant, and has grown because of the great food. It is still run by the sons of the original owners/cooks. Their Mexican food is delicious, and the staff is friendly.It sounds like you really know your stuff! We really appreciate all the support and are thankful you've been a fan for so long. I was really excited to visit Hinee Coffee after reading the reviews and was sadly disappointed. Generic location, blah decor, tight squeeze for viewing the menu and ordering. Staff was divided: one really great/kind, the others not versed in customer service. Took forever to get simple drinks and there were only a handful of others in the shop. When we did get our coffees they were barely warm, though flavor was good (giving the positive points). Maybe we visited on an "off day", not sure I'd go out of my way to give it a second chance.

Okay so it took three tries to find this place open as the posted time is 1:00 pm and I was there before that. So returned another day around 1:45 but then they had a written sign of winter hours 3:00 pm. So returned again after 5:00 and they were finally open. There was no one in there, no surprise since the hours are hard to keep up with and I had decided if they were closed this time, that was it. I was greeted when we entered but that was it. No explanation of anything but since we had been in a similar shop before we knew the drill. The place was very clean but the yogurt selection was smaller than most. But the toppings selection was fresh, appealing, plentiful and varied. I did notice a sign that indicated non-fat, low-fat and gluten free choices. That must be why none of the three choices I made tasted like what they were. The apple pie did not have much taste and hardly remotely tasted like apple pie. The hershey candy kiss flavor was more like dark fudge taste. The cookie 'n cream was the tastiest but not like other cookie 'n cream I have had. They have a huge TV on the wall which I haven't seen at other yogurt shops. We were checked promptly and thanked as we walked out the door since the employee was in the back. This is located in a small shopping center between Rome's Pizza and Sonic. I would have rated the actual product lower but rated overall instead.

This little hole in the wall has a Country home feel. It is a very nice establishment. Great food, great service, and vegetarian friendly.

Friendly staff and baristas. My drink wasn't done right and I drove away before I realized it. Went back and they made me a new one. No big deal for the price and inconvenience of having to come back it would have nice to have had a complimentary offer made. Just a suggestion.

New ice cream concept in Helotes. Pick two fresh baked cookies, a flavor of ice cream and they create your own custom made slider (ice cream sandwich). The kind of friendly, family-run business that I love to visit.

What a coup to get this quaint old stone building for this coffeehouse. Secondly, they are in the Old Town complex that is being developed with additional businesses and features, including plenty of outdoor seating under the trees. Helotes definitely deserves a visit. As far as the coffee part, they did offer coconut milk, which I like for my mocha, although for some reason it tasted slightly minty to me. Maybe that was the chocolate. I don’t like mint. I was hoping to read, but coffeehouses are not known as quiet environments, and this place is no exception. I wanted to try it, and now I have. There are several more coffee emporiums close by. I am likely to try each of those before coming back here. I didn’t find the help very helpful, or friendly. Maybe they were just busy. Some coffeehouses have that magical feel. This one didn’t. Sorry.

Friends fund this gem years ago. It's about 35 minutes away from San Antonio. It's worth the drive. The restaurant is in a unique building with a tree growing through it. It's a steakhouse so that's what is recommended. The portions are large so bring your appetite. The meat is cooked outside on a big mesquite charcoal grill. The jalapeño potato is amazing.

The BBQ here is absolutely to die for! And I understand the steaks are quite good (I'm not a steak eater, so don't take my word for it). The atmosphere is also very Texas country.
