Ate her in 2013, last time we were on the Big Island. The poke here is fantastic! Added feather in their cap, they are serving in compostable take away containers. Prices have gone up (almost doubled) about 30% in last 6 years...but still competitive with other places and I think BEST poke in the area for sure.

The food was good and the prices were good. Seems like more of a place for locals than tourist, which is what we like to find it when we are on vacation. The rental car place is right across the street. Very convenient location and Target is around the corner.

If you like Hawaiian food then you gotta try L and L. This is a major chain in Hawaii and now on the mainland. L and L offers all the traditional Hawaiian foods - lau lau, Kualua pork and cabbage, lomi lomi salmon, Ahi tuna, garlic shrimp, chicken teriyaki, kalbi beef, spam masubi, saimin noodles, rice, macaroni salad, etc. The portions vary depending on if you order a bowl, plate or combo. The combo is a big portion of food - enough for 2 meals. It includes 2 scoops of rice, macaroni salad, and chicken, beef, and pork and cabbage. L and L is Hawaiian fast food to eat in or take out.

The 2 of us shared the 3 entree combo and had plenty to eat. Each entree was delicious and so were the sides. We had a delicious meal for under $14.00 which is hard to find in Kona. We noticed lots of locals were eating there. And that is a good recommendation..
