This was a surprise find. Though the locals were well acquainted!! :) The price is definitely right here, so was the service and it was a pretty standard but well executed breakfast. Lots of options and some really good local favourite varieties of loco moco. No view, not fancy, but good breakfast for decent price served by nice staff.

We enjoyed great Island cocktails and a fresh Tuna Poke appetizer, followed by a delicious shrimp entree.The manager stopped by and gave us a free round of champagne because the kitchen was a little backed up. we thoroughly enjoyed our evening as the elements all came together to provide an outstanding experience. We had a great sunset, a wonderful server and tasty food.i enjoyed their Rilettes (their version of potted pork) and the Duck Confit. Others enjoyed the salad and fresh catch. The small bar served well-made cocktails as well.

We stopped here for lunch while visiting the area. Parking can be tricky but itâs worth the effort for good, fresh local food at non-tourist prices. We ate at the benches outdoors. This was place was fantastic! Huge portions, so split a meal between 2 people! Make sure to try the pork nachos, best nachos we ever had! Highly recommend this restaurant!

Nice place, with pineapples decorations and live music.Food is mostly local and very good. I actually chose to have the Hilo plate, which I really enjoyed. You'd better have a reservation because the place is crowded and you might have to wait otherwise.Prices are ok.

We had heard many good things about this place with the crazy name...and it did not disappoint! Our family of 12 spent a week in Kona and ate there twice. The first time there were six of us for lunch and we spent the entire time eating and sampling from each otherâs plates. Everything was soooo good, we went back for dinner the next evening. Short ribs, adobo rice, and their famous garlic fried chicken which was featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives was fantastic. Good size portions and and Great service as well. We made reservations, so both times the wait was relatively short. They seem to always have a crowd....most good places do! Canât recommend them high enough for a good meal.

Ate her in 2013, last time we were on the Big Island. The poke here is fantastic! Added feather in their cap, they are serving in compostable take away containers. Prices have gone up (almost doubled) about 30% in last 6 years...but still competitive with other places and I think BEST poke in the area for sure.

Expect a little wait but worth it. Also expect to take some home. Great cheery service. Decided to try this on our way to several excellent farmer's markets in the area. A local recommended it. Meals are served on oval turkey platters. I like crispy bacon and theirs is deep fried so it is definitely crispy. As you can see from pictures portions are huge. I had the 2 eggs, corned beef hash, and french toast. The hash was served thin and crispy - very good but after seeing the kailua pork hash over fried rice that would be my recommendation. The french toast is a sweet bread but just standard stuff. They didn't leave it in the egg long enough to soak into the bread. Over medium eggs were perfect. I tried the hash browns- also large helping. The real surprise is their side of pancakes that comes with most egg meals. the serve 2 on these large oval platters. Nice and fluffy. The menu includes loco mocos and an assortment of meats like portuguese sausage and blood sausage. The menu was large enough to get you back for several different breakfasts and lunches.

If you want authentic Hawaiian food, this is the place to go. It's a little out of the way, but worth it. For out of towners, I recommend you calling ahead and placing a take out order to bring back to where you are staying and eating there.
