We were beginning to despair of French country cooking after two weeks in Burgundy at local, but not expensive, restaurants, and this was the perfect end to our holiday as we worked our way home.Surprising was that it was quiet for a Saturday, though we eat early for the continentals, but it deserved to be busier.Excellent helpful and friendly service accompanied by food that was not only presented by a chef who felt some pride in what left his kitchen, but tasty too.A starter of smoked salmon and avocado was not the plain fare one might have imagined, and imaginatively delivered it was too, packed with flavour, as was, apparently, my wife's snails in garlic. I followed with the veal in sauce which was delicious and my wife a steak (why?) and we finished with Coffee gourmand for me and chocolate fondant for her, again, I won!We left France feeling that all was not lost for those eating at places where a second mortgage was needed.

Was recommended this restaurant by our B&B and was extremely impressed! We were 5 people (aged 5-70) and everyone enjoyed their meal thoroughly! We were seated with a view of the open fireplace where the meat is cooked which was great to watch. Staff were very friendly and helpful. And the food! So good. Portions are large but appreciated it as we were sharing tastes across the table because everyone was raving about their dish. Considering the food - the price is very reasonable as well. Would expect to pay way more for the quality provided.Definitely a highlight of our trip... we are still talking about it!

Nous sommes Arrivés à 20h50 un samedi soir après avoir réservé par téléphone, puis repartis à 22h15 sans avoir mangé ! Oublié par la serveuse qui plus est, très désagréable. Quasiment 1h30 dâattente, alors que la salle était à moitié vide, fin de service... Le responsable et la serveuse, tous les deux disparus de la salle, aucunes explications ni excuses lorsque nous avons décidé de quitter le restaurant, arrivé au bout de notre patience...
