Reviewed By Díša MThe hotel is very basic in its room equipment (eg no hairdryer, showecream) BUT staff always welcoming, if you are skiing, you can find dedicated room to store your equipment (nonstop under cameras), if you are with children, you can find veeeery nice and big room for kids to play there including places for parents to relax. Hotel also provides massages, stunning views from the room on the downhills, the ski area is very close, so basically you have everything by your hand. We've got a half-board - don't expect miracles - basic kitchen of three to four meals, soup and drinks (beer, vine, soft drinks and water) - this was very useful due to the fact we can rest in the evening and weren't push to visit the city center for dinner. Enioy your stay in here.

Very nice Pension
Reviewed By Ron dVery spacyous room with 1 double and 2 single beds.Everything for a nice stay was in the room.Small refrigerator ,flat tv ,table and chairs.Nice bathroom.There was no elevator but the room was on the first floor.We had logies and breakfast ,the breakfast was very good every morning the owner came to ask if we wanted eggs and what type . Only disadvantage was that there was no balcony and if the pizza oven in the restaurant was functioning it was very hot in the bathroom.

We stayed in the groundfloor which was good for us as it was next to the dining room and kitchen corner with all the things you need in the kitchen. We were a little bit affraid it will be noisy there in the evening, but it was not. The pension is very very clean! The breakfast is nice buffet. It is served from 8,30 to 9,30. Better be there exactly at 8,30 because the owner does not add food automatically there, so if you come later you have to ask for it if there is something missing which is not really convenient... The pension has a very nice quiet location with a perfect view. In a few minutes walk you get to the center. Most of the room has a balcony. Rooms in the groundfloor do hot have a balcony. We recomend this pension!

The Pension location was perfect. We will definitely will visit again.

Kačka nakonec vyšla vstříc, ale vše ji tak trochu obtěžuje: velká spotřeba konzumentů u snídaně, účty za elektřinu, dřevo do krbu je drahé, vstávat... Není to zajímavé cool retro, jak jsem se vzhledem k ceně těšil, ale je to opravdu staré a ušmudlané, společný prostor neuklizený. Koupelna s jedním záchodem na pohlaví na patro, cítit odpady, nejlevnější toaletní papír z Makra. Ok za poloviční cenu a s partou na jednu velkou párty bez omezení - pro rodinu pokoj za 14tis (s polopenzí) na 5 nocí za tuto kvalitu je úplně mimo realitu (byli jsme 4 rodiny a všichni rozčarovaní). Potenciál pro vytvoření zážitku by měl ten společný prostor - celý ho vyčistit, teplou barvu do žárovek, každý večer tam udržovat oheň atd atd.. Zde to bylo udělej si sám a nějak to přežij - jiná cenovka :) Mimochodem ubytování "přímo na sjezdovce" to opravdu není - jezdili jsme autem.

Reviewed By Irena AIf you’re looking for peaceful vacation with warm family atmosphere - Hotýlek pod smrkem is the place for you. We stayed (7 adults and 3 children) in this hotel ran by charming Lenka a Petr for 6 nights (last week). Kids were always busy, playing in the games room or outside in the yard (equipped with trampoline, swing, sand box, chalk board etc.). We (the adults) enjoyed lovely walks in the woods outside the hotel and the SPA (extra charge). Breakfast was always fresh, diversified and tasty. Refrigerator, microwave and cattle are available for guests use in the common area (as well as beer and cold drinks – extra charge). The hotel is “soaking” in nature, while being only 15 minutes’ walk form city’s center. Lenka and Petr did everything to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Thank you!

Reviewed By ZoesauntyWe booked this hotel for 5 nights in February for a short skiing break. Although the lady on reception (the owner?) was lovely, the stay went downhill as the days wore in. There were good points ie the food is really nice and reasonable. Breakfast is fine and the hotel was warm, despite temperatures of minus 20 degrees. Unfortunately, as it was half term in the Czech Republic, the hotel owners had clearly invited their extended family and friends to stay, and we felt like the only paying guests. There were tons of screaming kids playing on the snow mountain right outside of our room when we were trying to nap, there were around 6 dogs and a cat allowed to run around the hotel without leads, including the restaurant! There were 3 motorhomes parked out the back and the "campers" were mostly hanging around the hotel. The hotel is basic but acceptable, no frills at all. If you want a cheap basic hotel it's OK, but this felt very unprofessional and we felt like we couldn't complain at all because the kids and dogs belonged to the owners family & friends. We were so fed up, we actually checked out a day early. To her credit, the owner didn't charge us for the last day. On a separate note, the resort of Harrachov was quite poor for skiing - there was only 1 blue ski run which had some fairly steep places, and when icy, proved difficult to ski. We normally ski red runs, but the 2 at this resort were a little more difficult than usual. I would recommend going to Spindleruv Mlyn nearby for better skiing if you're in the area.
