Disappointing and "cannot accept complaints"
Reviewed By James DStayed at the Danhostel Grindsted for one night in May 2022. The accommodation itself is in a great location near to the bus station and a short walk from shops and supermarkets. This is particularly useful if you're visiting Billund but be aware this is a 20 minute bus journey or expensive taxi ride away. The rooms are dorm style and private, there is a bathroom with a shower and sink, although mine didn't have any soap (you'll need to bring your own) and the shower was really not much use at all. It's really important to note that bed linen and towels are NOT included in the price and quite an expensive extra if you fully occupy the room. You can bring your own though if you wish. The linen I had was a little soiled however the reception is not manned so you can't speak to anyone about it in person. If you open a second pack they will ensure you are charged for it, so bear this in mind. A few other things to note is that there was a gap you can see through around the windows (ok when I visited but will let a draught through in winter I guess), the electric socket was broken and not working and you must clean your room yourself before departing, empty the bin, etc or they might charge you for that too. Overall I am disappointed with the accommodation and when I complained a week after departing was told that they "cannot accept complaints almost 10 days after check in". So not great customer service.

Stille hotell med kort kjørevei til Legoland
Reviewed By kristint783Rolig hotell beliggende i grei avstand fra Legoland. Frokosten var helt ok. Meget behjelpelig ansatte når Color Line tydeligvis hadde rotet det til med antall rom mm. Selve rommene var ok, badet virket nytt. Stille i området. Lekeplass, utlån av bordtennis, basketball, fotball mm var veldig ok.

Really nice staff
Reviewed By davidbarker77792We stayed here for 3 nights, firstly can I say the staff at this hotel could not be nicer, I had a breakdown and they moved heaven and earth to help me get this problem sorted, a first effort by them and I can’t thank them enough. To the hotel, lovely location plenty of parking and good WiFi though out, we used the restaurant all 3 nights food was buffet style,and very good quality and in my opinion good value for money,breakfast included also very good and plenty of choice, this is included in the rate. My only complaint would be the rooms could be a lot cleaner ours was dirty from previous occupant and the 3 days we where there it was never hoovered, towels where changed only once, both me and my wife suffered several bites, and we both suffered a lot from this,again I put this down to room cleaning,it’s not done to the standard of this hotel, the public areas and restaurant are spotless just the rooms need more cleaning. I would have brought this matter to the attention of reception staff but they where so helpful to me with my breakdown I did not like to. Guys you have a great hotel with great reception staff great food and great dining room staff but you really do need new room cleaners who need to be taught how to clean and use disinfectant.

Great place to stay near Legoland in cabin
Reviewed By Jānis BStayed for three nights during our Legoland and Givskud Zoo visit. Owner was kind and place is nice. Lot of activities for kids - two playgrounds and mini-golf area. Cabin has enough place for 8 people. On top of the extra bed we used also our own mattress for better sleep. Kitchen was with all needed equipment. WC and shower inside cabin. Owner has plan to renovate the place till next season. Inside of cabin was warm, maybe even too warm. But the problem was solved by keeping windows open during night.
