A-must-see in Greifswald! Yes, not only "eat", but "see" - the interior is unique and matching perfectly with the warm atmosphere of the restaurant. I will not give any comments regarding the cuisine - you just have to go there and try it yourself.
...just one small remark - so many times I have been there on different occasions - that place never made me disapponted.

This Restaurant is popular among the residents and tourist. It's on the market place in Greifswald. One sits well also outside and one can sit very well inside.
What's great about this restaurant is that they source bio products.
We went as a group of four and had four different dishes. The Sulze was delicious, the gulash and also the pulled pork Sandwich. The pork was cooked for 12 hrs.
I can recommend for a casual lunch.

Nothing is left to chance. The staff is competent, the food modern yet accessible, the pricing very sensible and the restaurant atmosphere dignified, yet relaxed. Great location at the river.

My wife and I had two meals here - excellent lunch (white asparagus with butter sauce, ham, salad and parsley potatoes). Very friendly service (we wanted to sample a few different beers so they gave us a little glass to share.) Returned the next day for dinner; they got our order wrong (give benefit of doubt: our German was worse than the waiter's English). My food was mediocre; my wife's a tad better. Both of us felt it was a different chef this time. But the service was still great and the location still convenient. Very good value, too. Will certainly give it another try on next trip.

I would not attempt to write this in German, but would wholeheartedly agree with Annafrieda that the location, friendly service and wonderful baked goods made this a welcome stop after a morning visiting the sights of Greifswald. I'm not sure whether they could have spoken English, but since we spoke German and were visiting with German friends, translation was not necessary.

Upon entering you're presented with a cozy environment, and are directly appointed to your table by staff that seemed attentive - and that spoke English - throughout the evening. They have a nice selection of pizzas, and it was the first place where I say "white pizzas", i.e., pizzas without tomato sauce. I had one, and was quite surprised by the taste of it. I could easily get used to it, as in more standard restaurants were they serve pizza, they can get the tomato sauce easily wrong, leaving all the pizzas tasting exactly the same - tomato!
Although there isn't a wide selection of desserts, the somewhat typical chocolate cake with white ice cream is very nice.

Very good and cozy place, an English translation of the menu would have been nice but the owners were very kind and helpful in translating for us...the fish is superb, the portions are large and the price is inexpensive. Really excellent meal, thank you !
