The Dwellington perfectly blends the homely, the cozy and the stylish within a backpackers property. Over half of the Dwellington is dedicated to common areas, including the chef's style kitchen, the impressive 5 meter long Redwood dining table that overlooks the tennis courts, television with Netflix and games room, outdoor spaces and more. We offer our guests free unlimited WiFi and a free breakfast everyday during their stay. Fresh towels are available on demand anytime you like. We have a variety of rooms which include spacious private double's, twins, triples, a family room, 4-bed dorms, a female dorm room and a generous 8-bed dorm. Reception is open everyday between 6:30AM and 9PM but we can arrange to welcome you if you are arriving later. The friendly staff can help with booking a variety of local activities and onward journeys including the Interislander and Bluebridge ferries to Picton.
EXCELLENT ACCOMMODATION
Reviewed By Caryl TWe booked for an overnight in Wellington, our three adult sons and us, a couple. We were attending a wedding and just wanted an overnight bed but we got much more than that. Our sons arrived from Auckland early and went to the hostel to drop their bags and out for brunch. They were offered breakfast by the hosts, which was most unexpected and very much appreciated. The rooms and the facilities were extremely clean and well cared for and we were treated like royalty - nothing was too much trouble for them. Our included breakfast the next day was plentiful, with a good variety. We found the Dwellington an amazing place to stay, very reasonable and beyond our expectations.

A little disappointing
Reviewed By ReginaldFistingtonI booked a single room with ensuite not expecting anything amazing, especially when only paying 90ish dollars, but even with the bar set low it didn't meet my expectations. Firstly, all I wanted was an adequate bed to sleep on. After pulling back the covers and sitting down I slid down into a crater that had formed at the centre of the bed. Thankfully I was too tired to care initially but after waking up a few times it began to bother me. I opted for the floor which was far nicer. Just for the bed alone I wouldn't recommend staying in this room. There was other minor issues with damage done to the bathroom, no plug for the bath and stains on the walls, but these things were superficial.

Although not the cheapest hostel in town, worth every penny if you're looking for comfort, cleanliness, and atmosphere.

A great overnight stay
Reviewed By Batchy94I enjoyed my overnight stay at nomads, linen was clean reception was super friendly, the hostel had a nice vibe from what I gathered, The only issue I noticed was that one of the showers was in need of repair at the toilet located opposite my shared dorm room other then that no other issues would happily come back again :)

Rosemere is an action packed Backpackers in Wellington City, a short walk from all of this vibrant city's attractions. Cereals, toast, tea and spreads are provided. On Wednesdays, enjoy home made soup in Winter, and sausage sizzle in Summer. Full kitchen and laundry facilities, free DVDs and videos, a piano and a reading room for all to enjoy. Free internet for half an hour per day. Single, Double, Twin, Four and Six bed dorms available. Warm duvets are provided, and our funky green shower facilities are spotless. Avoid! Super rude owner!
Reviewed By lindaangelicaTo start with positives - good location and not expensive. Now, this was a last minute booking and we kind of knew what to expect, because we've been to backpackers before. We even called to asked if it would be a problem if we arrived after 9pm, just in case our flight was late. The owner said it's no problem, but we were on time anyway. The check-in was fine, the customer service was ok at this point. We made our way upstairs. If you're squimish you would leave at this moment. Walls haven't seen a coat of paint for a loooooong time, bloody mattresses on the halls like from a horror movie and dirty floor in a room. Filthy showers full of mould. At least the sheets looked clean. We were there for one night and left at 8am. Now, booking.com asked us for some feedback and we gave our honest feedback. For which we received an e-mail and a voice message from Mark, the owner, calling us "a f*cking b*tch" and telling us to "f*ck off". That is absolutely unacceptable and completely absurd. This man should not work in hospitality or with people at all. I can't wait for yet another rude response here. Avoid this place!

Reviewed By JandhfmWe arrived (2 adults, 4 kids on mum and daughter weekend) to find booking.com had booked us into a room that doesn’t exist( (6 bed with en-suite). Wild zebra were kind to accomodate us across 2 rooms ensuring access to an en-suite in one. Whilst central, the building is very run down, bed has a huge dip in it, noisey street with lots of bars, bathroom has not been adequately cleaned (bottle tops and old plasters, layer of dust on floor). Thank goodness it’s only one night!
