amazing family trip
Reviewed By KPBlackWe traveled here in mid-May with my two children (girls, age 5 and 6) and had an amazing experience. Our villa (1314) was ocean front and beautiful - beds comfy, full kitchen, everything you'd want. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful, and Emerson of the Minnow Hut went above and beyond to play with our girls in the pool. The front desk was always responsive with recommendations, car rentals, everything you'd expect. The dragonfruit mojito is worth an order at the bar. We dined at both restaurants and snacked at the jerk shack. Everything was great - we also liked Coco Plum Bistro right down the road. If you have time, visit Coco Plum beach at low tide - ridiculously beautiful. What an amazing trip! All the beach toys you can imagine -we swam with dolphins at the beach Sunday morning. Water was gorgeous ... island is very low key, slow pace and relaxing.

Great spot and price
Reviewed By kathleenl183I stayed in the Island Time villas across the street in a studio villa. My initial impressions were not great as I felt like the check in process was rushed and could’ve been handled differently. However, I will say that the front desk was wonderful throughout my stay with whatever questions I had or anything I needed. Beach towels are available but you had to sign them out and exchange for new ones as needed around the pool area. There is no housekeeping due to covid so I had to ask for more toilet paper once and the small trash cans more than filled up in my room. The accommodations were basic but very reasonably priced and had everything I needed. My room had a small kitchen with plates, cups, utensils, a fridge and microwave. My only complaint is that the fridge would freeze everything- including my bottled water. The bathroom is a bit tight and I could see that being an issue for couples but for myself it was manageable. I really enjoyed the guest lounge and it came in handy on my departure day as my flight wasn’t until 5:45pm. There is a pool table, ping pong table, books, and a few board games. You also have access to restrooms and changing rooms. There is parking across the street which was convenient and never full. The hotel is in a great location on the island and not too far from town. The restaurant on-site was good and convenient. The beach in front is small and there aren’t a lot of umbrellas available but there never were many people there so I never had issues finding a spot. The pool seemed to get busy in the afternoons. They also offer return covid testing which was easy to sign up at the front desk and was included with the cost of your health visa so no charge to you. I think overall this was a great value for the money and I’d consider staying here again.

The Perfect Place for a much needed respite
Reviewed By Maria OMy husband and I planned a much needed vacation last year at the Kahari. We had to cancel twice due to unforeseen circumstances. The Kahari honored our reservations until we could eventually get there. We arrived in early May for 8 days. It is a beautiful spot on Stocking Island. The water and views from our room were spectacular. The staff is oh, so friendly. They are there if you need them, but will leave you alone for your own peace and quiet. Lamon, KK, Desmond and Sheppard were awesome. We became like family. The Beacon Restaurant was delicious, and Chef Tito knows exactly what he is doing in the kitchen! Chocolate and all the others at The Beach Club were amazing. They are the best drinks in Exuma! All the boat captains took very good care of us as we traveled back and forth from the main island and Stocking. Azya, the property manager, was ever so helpful with our reservations and anything else important that we needed. We cannot wait to go back! Thank you Kahari for giving us the vacation we truly needed!

Reviewed By Compass55543847340First of all, this was our 5th trip to Augusta Bay since 2019. We have seen the damage that Covid and Isaias have done to the island since that time. Through it all, the folks at The Inn have been more accommodating, friendly and flexible than the conditions should allow. The last few trips have been peaceful, as they are still fixing some of the rooms from the storm last year and there have not been so many quests because of the pandemic. However, as a working middle class American we feel lucky to get such digs and treatment for the comparatively low price we pay to stay there. Although the restaurant is closed, there are plenty of places to eat close by. The pool is wonderful, the AC works and the view is great! Oh yeah, despite what you hear from other buffoon reviews, all the rooms are oceanfront, just depends if you want to be 20 ft from the water of 30 ft… For the price, you get a decent place to stay. It’s not for everyone and I’m sure Sandals will take your money. We will be back in the fall.

Reviewed By ericw115The "hotel" shouldn't even be open in it's current state. Our group had to switch rooms numerous times, as water & air conditioning would frequently stop working. The entire hotel is a construction zone, with hammers banging at 8am and concrete blocks & rusty nails scattering the grounds. It's admirable they are trying to renovate, but as it stands, they don't have most of the amenities they claim to have. The staff didn't seem to care, and never once apologized for inconveniences. Avoid until the hotel is actually in working order.
