Brilliant still the best chicken in Pretoria Espatada to write home (or here) about Whoever said location, location, location forgot good food and good service make up for the slightly out of the way location. Worth every penny and every minute spent in the place.

We enjoyed an End of year lunch at Blackwood. It is our regular hang out as it offers great food at very good prices. Lots of specials every day. Try the gwarra gwarra steak. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

I took a couple of friends to dinner here. This steak bar would not be out of place in any shopping mall and lacked ambience; however that said, the staff were excellent and the food was good.The lady had a plate of calamari and fish and the two men had steak - these came with chips. This was followed by a berry cheese cake and a "millionaires dessert" (buttery shortbread, caramel, white chocolate and chocolate mousse). To drink, we had 2 glasses of wine, a coke, a beer some sparkling water and a coffee. The total cost before tip came to 616 rands. Excellent value.Dear John C,Thank you so much for your review. After a weekend of camping and unpacking we were ravenous. Popped round to Hogshead again. Was a lovely evening for sitting outside. O'Neil served us and he was excellent. We shared chicken livers for a starter and shared a Hogsboard for mains. The food was delicious. Do try the sweet potato chips when you enjoy a meal there. Being banters we always swop the potato chips with sweet potato chips. It is delicious. Thanks Cliff and staff, it was once again a great experience.Hi Annali, Thank you for the awesome review! Came here for dinner and drinks with the family. Wonderful atmosphere on a Friday night. Live band playing and entertaining us. The food was good and drinks come in a wide variety. Felt like Oktoberfest. The service was great and management constantly checked up on us. we will definitely be back.Thank you for the most amazing feedback! Pepper Chair was once the restaurant/pub of choice in Centurion to go when you wanted good quality meat at affordable prices. Unfortunately this is no longer the case. The prices have skyrocketed to a point where the "specials" are not longer specials. For some reason they also changed the "specials" and no longer have kebabs on a Friday, this was why I went there in the first place.The meat quality was at one point in time really good, this is no longer the case. I know at some point they changed meat suppliers and due to the negative feedback they changed back to their original supplier. It seems that they have changed meat suppliers again as the rump I ordered was hands down the worst steak I've had at a restaurant to date. I will no longer be going to this restaurant, you have lost a loyal and long standing customer of 12 years+.

I love this establishment. I've been there so many times and I have never had anything short of great service; even if its just for a quick drink at the bar. Great for lunch or dinner; the place is really awesome with its Jack Daniels theme; although many other brands readily available. I have hosted small and large groups here and its always been a blast. Small family dinners have also always been great.

Great choice on the menu, with large portions and surprisingly very reasonable prices. Large restaurant with seating downstairs outside, or upstairs inside.I like the idea of the salad bar which is included with each meal. Good service by knowledgable staff.Obviously great for steaks, which are huge, and again very good pricesI apologise for not responding before, it seems the "warning" system when a new review is posted isn't working perfectly! I had a great lunch here with my husband, I got a falafel rainbow bowl(vegan) it was delicious. My husband got haloumi fries and the jalapeño poppers. Over all the food was all tasty, the haloumi fries we especially tasty. The large beer selection was amazing and gin.and tonics were great. This place has a very comfortable atmosphere, I would recommend this place to anyone looking to have some good food, good beer and a fun night out.

A great restaurant that offers a chilled vibe, good service & exceptional food!As a table of 6 (with the restaurant being busy on a weekday) the time from placing our order till the food was served was acceptable.I would personally recommend any of their burgers, as well as the platters.Their prices are a bit more expensive than other restaurants, but you can't even compare the quality & it's definitely worth it!
