Found the restaurant on google and based on the website, we decided to celebrate birthday's. Being from Durban, the restaurant was slightly difficult to find based on WAZE. Parking is very inconvenient as we had to walk in heels to the restaurant which was a good walk away. Upon the elevator doors opening, the restaurant is beautiful, well lit and spacious. we where escorted to our table and asked immediately to place our drink orders. Once the drinks arrived we where asked to place our orders. the waiter insisted we place our starters and mains at the same time. We asked the waiter for his suggestions and ironically he pushed the most expensive meals down our throat, R900 for a steak sheesh dairy cow or not that is a bit much! However we managed to order what WE wanted. The prawn and avo starter is absolutely amazing and is a must try, for my main i had the sirloin steak, was not the greatest but was good. The dessert menu then came, and i had to remind the waiter that we where celebrating two birthdays'. I made a reservation and sent a follow up email to confirm this. I was a bit annoyed with having to remind the waiter that we were celebrating a birthday in front of the people who where celebrating their birthdays. We received ice cream with a card. We also had the ice cream cookie, nothing extraordinary, but the cinnamon meringue is amazing.Visit for the experience, and Instagram photo but nothing would really make me want to return.

I used to go to Foundry but they changed the food menu.Itâs still a nice pub with great atmosphere, good choice of beers and drinks but unfortunately they changed the food menu. While before was a great place for a dinner (I still remember the lamb shank + ostrich fillet), it now serves more tapas e finger food dishes with a relatively small option of main courses.

Good service. The food unfortunately was a big let down. Jerusalem artichoke soup was terrible. Tasted like dishwater. The goats cheese soufflé was flat, stodgy and hard. The arancini was terrible too. The star of the show was the mushroom risotto - incredible and highly recommended. Unfortunately, that one dish is not enough to warrant a recommendation for this please. Iâd say stay far away if youâre looking for a decent meal.

We had a great lunch. Starters were various tasters, then mains- a choice of Duck confit, line-fish or beef tournedos, all came with various side orders, everybody commented on a great experience, service was attentive and friendly. First time visit to an unpretentious Bistro and Deli in Craighall. Top notch food, excellent service and relaxed atmosphere makes ensures that we will return soon! My wife had the prawns and said that they were amongst the best she had tasted. Our guest had Scottish Salmon which foo was excellent. I had a bacon cheeseburger with fries which was very good, the restaurant has a wide restaurant and buzz. Highly recommended- we will return soon!

As we entered Piccolo Mondo, we were welcomed by almost every front line staff member. So nice to see so many happy staff member at 6:30am. We loved the variety of food on display for breakfast buffet. They have fresh fruit, cereals with yoghurts, juices, tea or coffees, cold meats, cheeses, Asian food, cooked breakfast. Tasty breakfast very well prepared, excellent service, good coffee (will ask for extra large cup next time). Definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended- but be sure to get there early. It is a smallish venue, and popular. Creamy mushrooms - to die for!
