Had dinner there for two. Everything was really very good. The service was impeccable; The food - after finally being able to make the choice - was very good. Had this been a night out during my "regular" life, this would surely have earned a 5 star. However, as the title hints, after a long day of skiing, one would like to unwind a bit. We arrived in a sweatsuit, and felt a little out of place. For a vacation, personally, I would have preferred a less buttoned-down atmosphere, even at the expense of some hiccups in the service.... but that's me.

We had lunch here on a very wet Saturday after a week of perfect indigo blue skies.The lunch certainly made up for the weather. The menu choices are excellent and typical of the area.Be hungry. I'm unsure if there is an English translation of the menu but ask for clarification if needed. I'm not fluent in German but managed the menu and conversation with the waitress and always good to practise. We were both very pleased with our choices - good quality and well priced. Very busy at lunchtime. Friendly atmosphere and staff. Viertal wein (small carafe)is ok quality wise - if drinking more probably best to go for a bottle.

They have the best cappuccino of Tyrol. The terrasse is nice for relaxing with great views on the Mountains.

The only thing that we regret it 'a that the restaurant doesn't have reservation. So you have to wait during peek season. But you will find good food and nice Service. You will eat tipical food and Also a very tasty pizza!

We visited the upsairs restaurant with service. Very nice and sunny Terrace with good food for little money. Downstairs there is a dj playing apres ski music. We loved to have a drink in the late afternoon and dance on the music. But be prepared to ski down with 100's of drunk people. When you are in Ishcgl you have to close your skiing day at Paznauer Taja.

there's everything you would expect:
1) great service, attentive and friendly; the owner is there himself and makes sure, you have everything you need
2) great food - especially the steaks are awesome
3) great wine - they offer a wide range of different wines with reasonable price ranges
4) amazing location - a super-old wooden house, marvellous surroundings, great intereur
Be aware - the last time we were there, they did not accept cards (neither credit nor debit), so you should bring cash.
We go there every year - it has become a tradition, that we are looking forward every year.

Although I was dining alone the staff gave me a lovely table. The Kaiserschmarrn was the best I've ever had; the pizza was freshly made and delicious, and the waitress didn't blink and eye when I asked for a cheese-toast without ham. Great food and very reasonable prices.

Ate her recently with family and friends. The menu selection is quite good and the food is even better. They have everythong from pizza to burgers to steaks. I ordered the ribeye and it was absolutely fantastic. The service was excellent and most importantly, our small children were equally happy with their meals. The staff even gave them coloring books and small gifts at the end of our dinner! Recommend making Reservations. If you're looking for a nice place to eat with plenty of great tasting food and you have small children, you won't be disappointed with this place.
