Café/ restaurant placed in between the sea (Kattegat) and the harbour in Bogense with a great view and a unique naval atmosphere. Enjoy a delicious meal in a cozy (hyggelig) and casual environment. Or maybe you would like a great cup of coffee with homema
Open and airy with a nice view over the water, you order at the counter and bring it to your table. The food was very good.

Food was badly prepared. Some was cold, steak was extremely dry, potatoes bad and veggies cooked and boiled to complete death. Pepper sauce was not that and was grossly thick. Yuk!!! Wine was poor Chilean red and sour. Carpaccio was tasteless and drowned In strange additives. Clearly the chef had no clue how to cook. Service was stressed out and cranky and had absolutely no clue. Atmosphere and decoration was from late 70's and not updated (or cleaned?) since. Took 3(!!!!!) hours to get through 3 courses. Do not go!!

Nice owner serves good quality coffee and Danish cakes. Made a stop here during our family week in Skastrup. Worth visiting!

Charming small harbour town, relaxed local clientele, help-yourself buffet heaving with fresh (and locally) caught seafood, plus some great local cheeses, What could go wrong?Well, the steamed plaice layered with harissa over braised cabbage and fennel may have seemed like a good idea at the time, but the baklouti and serrano chillies won by two falls and a submission and the fish may as well have not been there at all. And, if I was going to be a drittsekk (polite translation = stickler), I would add that maybe the fish soup had one pinch of salt too many. But the other hand it was so good that I had three helpings. The smoked shrimp were excellent, as was the smoked butter fish and mackerel. The atmosphere was fantastic, the beer flowed and a good time was had by all. There were outbreaks of singing. Some Danes linked arms and started a sort of subdued and sedentary Mexican wave.A little rough and ready but I would happily return, if I could be sure of getting a table. This place is becoming deservedly popular, so I recommend you book ahead.

A nice Café in the heart of a town call Bogense. yon can also sit outside in our patio. we greatly appreciate personal good service and we serve delicious food with a smile. You are always welcome her.
Chose this place as it had a completely different menu to the sameness of nearby establishments. We were not disappointed, and enjoyed a pleasant lunch in the rear garden. The service was pleasant, and the food tasty. The garden is cosy, ant the only suggestion is that more could be made of it in Summer. A lot more colour and cosiness could be added by the addition of bedding plants. A subjective point however, and we will definitely return next time in Bogense.
