Princess Phi Phi does a good version of the yaki-curry standard, served relatively spicy by Japanese standards. They have one of the picture menus annotated inn English, and the friendly satff will look after you well. They also serve the local banana beer. The icecream that came with the special was particularly delicious. Good place to take a lunch break while exploring the historic port area.Thank you for a visit. It was good to have when the dish was going.I prepare for English, Korean, the menu of Chinese now in our store as many foreigners come.I have you spend time as possible comfortably and act so that it is in the memory that a trip of Japan is wonderful. In addition, please come to Mojiko.I wait.Thank you

One of the most exclusive places in Japan , This place handles only 5 customers at a time , due to a limited number of counter seats unique and joyful in many ways than one , and most notably for its creative style and warm atmosphere Amano San is a charming human being with a lovely sense of humor , once he engages into conversation , he'd be himself and let's nature takes its course His passion for the food clearly reflected on every dish he prepares , to the most remote details leaving no room for errorsThe sushi here is quite innovative when being compared to the Edomae way It's worth the journey and Without a doubt an experience of a lifetime , I've left utterly speechless & Hungry for more

My wife and I were determined to try a different restaurant in Kitakyushu on our trip there this time so we decided to walk around the main shopping street area and its alley to see what was available. We walked by Robata Aoki the first time and looked at the menu. It was in English and was very tempting but we had just started exploring. After a little while, we headed back to Robata Aoki because the food looked good and they seemed English friendly. When we walked in, we got all the usual greetings and a very friendly waiter sat us at the bar. While most of the waiters did not speak English well, it was enough for us to order along with some finger pointing at delicious looking pictures. The English menu was quite extensive but probably not as extensive as the Japanese menu. There was plenty to pick from and the variety ran the range from great looking seafood to excellent yakitoris. They also had delicious oden. It was definitely a good place to get a beer or sake along with excellent tapa-style japanese food. We started with 10 sticks of the chicken yakitori and it was excellent. We then moved on to the grilled squid and beef tongue which were also cooked perfectly. We finally finished with a light bowl of oden. I could have probably eaten more but I was more than happy with what we had.Kitakyushu has definitely gotten more tourist friendly over the past few years. Robata Aoki is definitely one of those that seem to be interested in bringing in the tourist business. I think the friendly staff, the English menu, and the absolutely delicious robata/yakitori will have me coming back in the future!
