We visited this restaurant on a Monday night and were almost put off by a party of 24 who were already seated. However, on the assurance of our waitress that no great delays etc., would occur we sat down. We had the usual popadoms and some lovely unusual tamarind dip. After which we had three curries between us. My wife likes prawns, and that curry was good. The fish curry was even better, but the lamb madras was really excellent. Big pieces of tender lamb that had been marinated so long that the taste was right in the meat. Hot and spicy and the best curry I have had for years.

Yes, this is an excellent restaurant and bar. Friendly owner and staff serving a really good choice of food (incl vegetarian options), beer and wine. Inside or outside it really is a very nice experience, particularly for lunch on a sunny, warm day.
Good parking either in car or boat! We'll go back and next time we'll be staying in the very nice looking motorhome/caravan site close by.

We booked for eight and surmise from the service that was a bit late as the proprietor said when eventually she arrived at table - 12 minutes after we sat down that they had been busy with coffees and whiskys but the place was less than half full!!!! The food was OK the vegetarian being better than the rib eye with what was claimed to be haggis but was NOT. This is a tourist trap and not what it says on the tin. Whatever is reported here wil have no impact because the majority will stil be seduced by the "Scotch" which it is definitely not!

With a small but versatile offering in three,four or five course cards, this Restaurant is special. The red perch first dish needed the herbs and textures around it as the fish is not really of memorable flavour. The Angus beef dish was very tasty and the beef very tender, again well presented with fabulous Frysh potatoes.
The wine list was adequate and reasonably prices we thought.
We recommend ' By Us' for a beautifully presented dining evening

Next to the church in Vlieland, the former orphanage is transformed into a surprising tasteful restaurant. The menu is a broad variaty of foods. As entre we had a red beet and herring. The second corse was a white coal and goose pate. The interior is still mostly original.

Such a small, quaint, little place you'd almost overlook it. Walk into a pub-like restaurant, with more quality furnishings. The food we had was really, really good. The service was very friendly and the whole surroundings made us stay for an extra glass of wine after dinner.

Fresh ingredients (seafood, fish and herbs), beautifully decorated plates and absolutely yummy dishes! Very attentive and friendly service, cozy atmosphere and relaxing music, I cant recommend this restaurant enough...will be back ;-))

We weren't planning on dining here but ended up here on a Friday night. Excellent place. staff very flexible and very professional. The food was very, very tasteful. Lots of choice on the menu, they serve customers from all walks of life. Recommend it.

There are lots of cafes and restaurants in Harlingen to choose from. We chose Nooitgedagt. Overall it was good enough, the food was tasty however the service could have been quicker. I only realised after checking the menu afterwards that my salad had been missing the olives.....
Even though it was warm outside we choose to sit inside due to the ants on the tables outside!

The first time we choose by chance this restaurant for lunch in the small village Nes on Ameland. Very nice dishes and friendly service on a cosy terrass. Definitely worth to go to. The second time was after checking trip advisor reviews which suggested that Zee van Tijd is the number one restaurant on the island. As I always want to check it out myself we went there and yes the food is good, the atmosphere inside cosy and the service wonderful. So if you go for dinner on the island Ameland this is absolutely a place you should go to!
