We last ate 2 years ago at this truly fabulous terrace restaurant when it had quirky, provencal-meets-modern-bohemian furniture... Since then Dan has bought and transformed this stunning eerie into the super-sophisticated, ultra comfortable & modern. Lovely attentive service... not all fully trained! The view towards and over Marseille is breathtaking. The Michelin-starred chef has remained and he is now creating even more amazing food. Every dish took our breath for its look and taste... We chose the Bois set menu at €72... Every morsel was outstanding with the scallops ranking as one of the best dishes we have ever eaten. Treat yourself to a very good wine... it's worth it!!!

Le Mas Bottero

My partner and two friends went to this restauarant for lunch. I had the vegetarian menu because it sounded so intriguing. Everyone else had the lunch time set menu. We were served the most delightful and imaginative appetiser of slivers of crisp bread, olive oil, fried chick pea squares, seasoned bread and a dip. A delight! All dishes that followed were beautifully presented, with first class products, cooked to perfection with fascinating accompanying sauces. I am not a vegetarian but as the lunch menu started with octopus which I do not eat, I opted for the vegetarian choice. It was absolutely sensational. The ambiance is city chic, minimalist with imaginative cutlery, china ware and glasses. The wine list was perfect, reflecting the best of local wines as well as those from further afield. There is also an interesting shop where you can purchase quality condiments, grains, salt and table items. The perfect place to buy presents. I cannot wait to return. A most relaxing and special experience. Lunch for 4 (2 courses each) plus wine was €132.Dear Joanna S, thank you very much for your experience feedback. Our vegetable offer is good on intended for the vegetarians but also for all the customers which wishes to discover an experience 100 % vegetable. Happy to have satisfied you.In the pleasure to find you at our table. Very cordially,NB

Service was good. Terrace okay. Food, just barely average. I like good food, I know good food. This was average. But it would definitely beat a terrible fast food creperie or some such tourist nonsense. To be fair, we only had three dishes - I cannot speak for the rest of the menu.

Mitch

After a great shopping day, a surprising lunch at Henry IV and a fresh swim at the hotel we went into town to have diner. We did our preparation to avoid the tourist traps and, based on some nice descriptions, our choice was the terrace of Mitch. The evenings are mild after a hot sunny day in the Provence. Mitch appeared to be in one of those streets with some more restaurants, so we had a lot to look at. We had made a reservation and could choose one of the outside tables. The tables were all tilted, and they explained us this was normal. The surprising lunch had spoiled us. We knew terraces are different, we had hope Mitch would be the positive exception, but it wasn’t. The food was ok but not surprising, the service was almost absent, and locals were obviously treated different. As a starter I took the Jambon-cru and I had fish as main course. Of course, there were different tastes and it was intended to be crispy and soft, but it all missed love and tender. The fish had a too long preparation and had become dry, the jumbo scrimp was fright. The desert of raspberries was nice but did not impress us. They asked for the wine once and missed the chance to make some more turn over by just asking. We had a lot of time to look around before we could ask someone for the bill and had to go without a goodbye. We were just another tourist and were not expected to return and they are right, we will never return. We regularly visit my sister who lives here now about 50 years. Next time we’ll choose a better place to have diner.
