I came with 2 young children, and decided to order the Royale, as it looked to be the 'platter'. The waiter said it was only enough for 2, and requested that I order an extra item. I said I'd order an extra merguez or brioche, but he said it wasn't enough for us. So I ordered an extra chicken dish, which turned out to be the wrong decision, and it was tough. The cous cous itself was excellent, and the rest of the meats were OK, nothing spectacular to be honest. Would have preferred it to be more spiced, but that's just me. Rated it poor value only because of the really tough chicken, even though it was only 12 euro.

I usually only eat French food when I am in Paris but decided to try Ethiopian food for a change as I had tried it in my home town and enjoyed it.I turned up at 7pm last night. I had the Doro Wot and it was amazing. Please make sure that you have a coffee. I asked for the name of it but it appears that they purchase the coffee and blend it to their taste. Wow! It could give Jamaican blue mountain coffee a ring for its money; smooth and silky. Hats off ! The bill for the Doro Wot, carafe of red wine and coffee was 27 euros and I left a well deserved 15% tip.I would definitely go out of my way to enjoy this restaurant again which is just off Rue Mouffetard. The restaurant is tiny so book to avoid disappointment. The staff were friendly and professional. I will back.

Le Scirocco is the âposhâ Moroccan restaurant you never thought could ever experience UNLESS, like me, you were around at the time the Bombay Brasserie created a whole new category of Indian restaurant in London (1982, in the Gloucester Road neighbourhood). We are talking about more obsequious service than one typically associates with a restaurant of that type, slightly cringeworthy decor (see photo) and a not-cheap tab BUT the fabulously delicate flavours make it all worthwhile.
