We had a wonderful noonday formule in the enclosed and shaded courtyard. The waiter knew the menu and ingredients and patiently answered all our questions. The food was perfect and he made suggestions for appropriate wine pairings. My wife had a cold pea soupâcreamy and rich followed by stuffed chicken Provençale. I had a chicken pate followed by short ribsâslow cooked and tender with a reduction sauce. Dessert was a lemon meringue deconstruction for my wife and chocolate terrine ganache for me. 88 euros with 2 glasses of wine and 2 large coffees. We will definitely return.

Passing through the town, feeling pangs of hunger and a thirst for something chilled....we stumbled upon this little restaurant in a side street. The outdoor shaded terrace was quiet; the wine list interesting and good; the food delicious and well presented...the price very reasonable. We shall return!

This restaurant is unrecognizable from the old Groupama office that it was last year! The husband and wife team that run the restaurant take turns in cooking and front of house - both are great! We liked it so much that we had lunch and came back as a larger group with some more friends for dinner later in the week - we enjoyed the food of both chefs! The wine list is good, interesting and rather quirky. They have a brilliant 17 euro menu, the food was lovely, simple unpretentious and perfectly cooked. We had a splendid Daube at dinner and some very good fish. This is another great addition to Ste Cecile. Well done!

Being short of time we went for the menu du jour and were delighted with the quality and presentation of the meal. The service was timely and polite. We thought it very good value and a pleasure to eat under the mature chestnut trees in the warmth of the August sun. As we were in for a long drive, we couldn't benefit from the extensive wine list, which was our only disappointment!

Loungy place in a very tiny town. Attractive outdoor terrace, equipped with trendy classical tables and chairs as well as a lounge chairs. Uncomplicated service with a big smile. Tapas were ok, not exceptional, just good. But given the cosy environment, certainly worthwhile visiting.Ps: please serve Belgian Affligem in the appropriate glass :-)

Firstly, the place has a bad odour. Menu given promptly but had to ask 45 mins later if we could order. Response was not apologetic but that they were very busy... We both ordered starters and different main courses. Then were served- my starter and my partner's main course... Big mistake even if one of us was not having a starter. Food was good for the price but service a big let down.

Eating at CVG was a absolute treat. The garden setting, beautifully decorated is tranquil & peaceful. Well spaced tables, comfy chairs.... friendly welcome from smiling staff, a perfect start to the evening. The courgette stuffed with crab was llight & flavoursome, the cold tomato/gazpacho sauce its served with burst of summer for your tastebuds. Mains of fish & pork, ingredients of the highest quality prepared without too much fuss, cooked & seasoned just right. A plate of cheese delicious & the correct sized portion. Dessert was unexciting, a mille feuille, pastry was perfect but the creamy filling was bland. The menu at â¬42pp is a good price in our opinion. Highly recommended if you are in the area.

We booked a table, without looking into the menu upfront. They serve a lot of dishes which are not everybody's taste, like kidneys of veal, fricassee of snails, stewed pig feet, ...I would suggest not to visit the restaurant if you're accompanied with children, because the dishes are absolutely not suited for them. We found the dishes however well prepared. Kids were not happy, but we were to blame for that, cause the resto serves almost no child friendly dishes. I found it a petty most of the main courses had the same accompaniments. The selection of wines is good. Service is uncomplicated, but the the point. Mon anglais n'étant pas à la hauteur , je préfère répondre en français: notre restaurant est connu pour la spécificité de sa carte, c'est justement pour cela que nos clients sont fidèles... Nous sommes désolés que vous n'ayez pas appréciés, en ce qui concerne les enfants, il est vrai que le chef ne se résoudra jamais à faire des steaks-frites, ce n'est pas dans son optique !!!Merci de nous avoir rendu visite, je garde un bon souvenir de votre présence le jeudi 21 aout au soir...
