Excellent host who acquiesced to my request to have my meat well done despite French people thinking that is sacrilege. Eclectic and charming décor. And the food: the best we have had in Concarneau. Much appreciated amuse bouche of rillettes, seriously delicious prawn bisque that I would return for, tender skewers of beef and kangaroo, yummy potato gratin and piping hot apple crumble. Everything is home made and touches like complimentary taster and rum are much appreciated.Merci "l'Irlandaise" pour votre avis, nous serons heureux de vous accueillir pour vousfaire passer à nouveau une bonne soirée.

Came across here by accident really. We were looking for a beach for the dogs (thatâs another story). Stopped here for lunch. Had two beautiful salads. Really nice. It is a lovely setting right on the beach. Would recommend and would definitely go back. Staff were lovely.

This seafood restaurant serves a variety of tasty dishes, including daily specials. The location is inside the Ville Close, but inside the restaurant feels like a real escape. The first-rate staff are among the most welcoming, friendly and helpful that I have encountered. The food and drink prices are reasonable. This is a popular place with locals and visitors, so it's a good idea to book, although I did manage to get a table as it opened in the evening.thank you for your comments that encourage the whole team Vauban LA DIRECTION

We've given this three stars because you have to click something in order to write the review. Just wanted to warn other dog owners not to bother. We were turned away from here as we had two dogs with us (quite small and well behaved), despite the fact that the place was empty. France is known for being dog friendly and we were allowed in much nicer places with our dogs. This is just a little creperie and we passed it three times on our travels and each time it was empty. Seems strange?

We didn't actually eat here but stopped for a cider after a longish walk. View from the terrace is good and you are away from the traffic of the village. Shame we couldn't try the seafood but menu looked delicious.

The yellow Logis de France sign almost always means you are stepping into a solid and honorable establishment. The top reviews on Trip Advisor and Michelin are further signals that you are in a good place.The welcome is genuine and cheerful, the dining room a bit spartan, and the luncheon menu a bit abbreviated. But there is fine quality and value here. Perhaps it is the time of the year which contributes to the limited choices. Better to do a few things well than too many in less than an optimal fashion.Our fish filet and a gratin of fresh fruit were both pleasing, especially the dessert! At 22 Euros, that menu is a real bargain. We splurged on a half bottle of Sancerre Blanc that added to our enjoyment.Yes, they have a nice view out to the water, but the capable kitchen and friendly staff are what brings people back.Thank you.Indeed our lunch "formule" is short on purpose, but because we also have two other menus plus à la carte.We wish to see you another time when you will visit Fouesnant.

A warm welcome to a very busy restaurant. We chose to sit inside, so glad we did as by 7.30pm it was getting rather chilly even with a jacket on, no heaters which would have been very welcome, it being the 10 August and summer! We started with a dozen paloures roses in parsley/garlic-a great start to any dinner. My husband chose the large hamburger which came with bacon cheese onions etc -very tasty and nicely cooked. I reckon I had the best meal-skate wing with a slightly acid court bouillon sauce and beetroot, it was so tasty, full of flavour and served with some large capers. Usually I have had skate grilled in a blackened butter caper sauce, but this tasty court bouillon sauce bears no comparison, you must give it a go, you won't be disappointed. We finished by having two boules of ice cream, uummmm! The wines were reasonable, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Booking recommended in August as it was full quite early inside.

Had a stunning meal at La Transat. Parking across the road in a large but picturesque public carpark open till 11pm. Staff very friendly and efficient and food excellent. Interior very attractive with novel wall hangings. Having a whippet with us, we were thrilled to hear that we could take him inside as well as on the terrasse. Very very picturesque setting as well, with view ultimately over the bay. PS recommend a stroll afterwards around the bay.
