Went here after Reading reviews here about it,and wanting to have some nice fish and chips.I went for the barramundi and chips,with a prawn fillet(I was given 2).and I wasn’t disappointed-the fish was shown to me,battered and then cooked in a lovely light batter.if you fancy some good fish and chips,do try here.

The Reef recently underwent a refurbishment to the bar and restaurant and now boasts an eclectic fresh decor, where guests can relax in the ambient and modern surrounds from the best vantage point in Forster. Guests can enjoy a cocktail or beer with friends at the new outdoor/indoor bar overlooking the sparkling Wallis Lake, or they can stay for a delicious meal delicately prepared by head chef Peter Tjornelund. The menu is a fusion of Asian and European cuisine and features mouth-watering meals such as a garlic and lemon marinated pork cutlet with honey figs, roast kumara, goats cheese and pistachio. The menu also includes an all-day dining option with gourmet pizzas along with a carefully selected wine and beer menu to accompany the meals.

We went to Paradise Marina for lunch. The area and outlook are beautiful. The cafe was clean and tidy and easy access for all. We were going to take some wine BUT the corkage price was over the top at $3 a bottle. We had a party of 9. My wife and I selected 2 of the specials of the day. Those being a steak Sandwich ($19) and a tasting platter ($30). On top of the prices displayed was a surcharge of 10% for it being a Sunday. Therefore meals were actually $20.90 and $33 respectively.. Orders are taken at the counter, but table service is there for the Delivery of the food. All staff seemed pleasant and polite. All meals came out very close together. The steak Sandwich was rated as good. It was well presented and tender, with the salad being fresh, the chips were battered and tender. The Tasting platter, consisted of 3 oysters (large) 6 prawns (average size), deep fried whiting fillets, salt and pepper squied, with salad and battered chips. The oysters were fresh but the prawns were a little soft and the flavours a little disappointing. The squid was very tender and the fish very tasty. Salad was OK, and the chips very tasty and crunchy. Everyone enjoyed their meals. My thoughts, a little bit expensive for a cafe, especially with the 10% surcharge. As for the corkage I think given the prices they charge there should be NO corkage price at all. Will I go back?? maybe not

Visiting Forster with friends, wasn’t sure where to have dinner and stumbled on this place by accident, best accident by far amazing food, great atmosphere, excellent service, excellent staff, great menu just can’t go past this restaurant one of the best in Forster, even had the owner answer a wine question and took the time to take our order.
Authentic Italian at it’s best and a great view of the lake.

Our friends were coming to Forster and wanted to meet up for coffee. Problem was that they have a fur baby and it was raining.
We decided to go to Beach Bums now that they have their roof and we could sit outside.
Even though it wasn’t a great day the place was busy and quite a few had dogs.
The coffee is consistently brilliant and we enjoyed the Bumble Berry Muffins. Great value, great food and fabulous location.

2nd time here but has gone down in food quality. Was great a year ago but wont go back. Small servings and not up to previous standard. Appears other reviewers have similar experience. They need to lift their game or will go out of business

With all the good reviews on this restaurant we may have picked a bad night, when we walked in we were seated and noticed about eight young people hanging around the back of the restaurant just talking folding napkins, one was dusting the bar, not appropriate when people are in the restaurant.
Our waitress took our order when the entree come out ( prawn cutlets) we had to ask for dipping sauce, then the main come out I had prawns and cashew nuts my partner had satay chicken.
Both dishes were full of sliced onion and not much more we were very disappointed I suggest go to trip adviser and go to Happy Garden to see for yourself as I said it may have been a bad night

We Do All day breakfast from 7.30am 7 days a week, lunch menu with main meals and gourmet burgers. Saturday nights we have free entertainment, happy hour & our own Hot Rocks thst we cook our delicious Steaks on. Delicious cocktails and Beer on tap. The perfect combination for any diner.

Lastnight Kenny's wasn't located in it's proper restaurant due to a private function, we were waiting for almost 5 minutes before being seated as nobody was in the room other than customers. We were able to order our food quite quickly however it took a while before it came out.
Food was definitely delicious though, we ordered satay skewers as entree, peanut sauce stir fry with chicken & a traditional pork belly stir fry dish.
