This is our fourth trip to Ay Jalisco in FC. Whenever we are in town (Winnebago dealership), we wander over here for lunch or dinner and we are always pleased. Located right on the main drag in FC, the restaurant is located in a historic-looking brick building storefront.
Pleasant, welcoming staff. Clean surroundings. Prompt service. Better than average food. Generous drink sizes and serving portions. Enchiladas, fish tacos, chimis, chips and queso (our favorite queso!) all good! The marg was great. The beer was, too!
The only thing we've not tried is the desserts. They have 5 or 6 to choose from and they all sound delicious. But by the end of each meal, we are always too full!
As often as we are in FC, we will return.

Delightful diner with a festive atmosphere, delicious paninis, friendly wait staff, and dozens of ice cream choices. Affordable, accommodating, relaxing. Wonderful for families of all types, but especially for young children who like a kids' menu with PB&J, mac & cheese, hot dogs, or grilled cheese. Others can make their own panini!

While having work done on our RV at Winnebago, we needed a pick me up and the use of a good internet. We found both at this cute little place. The inside is very homey and comfy. The staff is very friendly. We splurged on dessert...a cream cheese red velvet muffin that was amazing. My husband had a crème brulee bread, which he said the taste was full with flavor.
We hated to leave but planning on returning tomorrow. Wish we could take this place with us.

The frosty mug and small town A&W is my favorite stop in Forest City. Open March through December don't miss it...
They recently got new owners and food quality of burgers, cheese curds is excellent.
Eat inside and ask for a frosty mug of the original recipe root beer!

We always visit Sally's whenever we are in Forest City having work done on our Winnebago and we are never disappointed. Sally and her staff are very friendly, and the food is always tasty and served as ordered. Good food for a reasonable price.

This is not a traditional pizza shop, but they do hand toss. It is operated out of a gas station. We ordered the flat bread pizza with sausage and mushrooms and we were not disappointed. The flavor was good, the crust was crispy and the sausage was very good.

We were in Forest City, Iowa to take the Winnebago factory tour. We looked for a place to eat on a Sunday evening & came across Shooterz as we were looking for pizza.
The service was great. The pizza was tasty as well as the draft beer.
Our waitress informed us that the town had recently been very crowded with a rally of RVers (Shucks! Missed that!) so we hit Shooterz at a good time I suppose!

And this is THE REAL DEAL!
We were in Forest City for Winnebago-related things and looking at our dining options (hint: a bit limited). We drove past this unusual, run down metal building and thought ... huh? In the rearview, I saw the word "Borderline" and told the hubs to turn around!! Could it be? Could it really beeeee?? YES. It was. It IS! Borderline pizza. Just like in Chester. Lime Springs. Readlyn. Denver. Traer.
The smell of the place (divine). The crust (perfection). The heft of each slice. It's all to be found again at the Borderline Pizza (and Jerry's Taco's) in Forest City! Put in your order. Wait 20-30 minutes and heaven on a plate!
Thanks Borderline! We will be back!

If you like good fried chicken please buy some of this. Located inside Forest CIty Foods is some of the best fried chicken around. Outstanding.
