Every hotel seems to give out 10% coupons and recommendations for this restaurant but we found the food on the average or below average side. The quality of the ingrediens seems good, but the meat was overcooked, the vegetables, mash and fries were cold and underseasoned. The key lime cheesecake was good though. As with many tourist spots in the US there were many empty tables but we were still told to wait for five minutes âuntil a table becomes availableâ - and then seated at one of the many already empty tables by the same person. Perhaps this is a ritual we donât understand yet - does the wait make the food more appealing for some people?

My husband and I went to La taza to grab a quick sandwich. The cleanliness is so nice. Happy faces and best chicken salad ever. What turned out to be a quick stop ended up being a very pleasant experience. One of our favorite to go places.

My wife and I along with an old friend stopped into this place for a cold beer. My friend and I ordered tap beers and my wife a rum & coke. Upon tasting the beer my friend and I both looked at each other and said, there is something wrong with this beer. So we waited for Emily the waiter to come by to let her know. We waited and waited and waited. Tired of waiting my friend went to the bar and exchanged the beers for bottled beer. A while later my wife finished her drink and wanted another. Once again we waited a while but no Emily so my wife went to the bar and ordered her own drink. Horrible service. The only time we saw the waitress Emily is after we went to the bar and asked for the check. I hope she didnât spend her tip all at one time. LOLFirst we appreciate you taking the time to write a review as we use reviews such as this as tools to help retrain and make us better. We take the appropriate steps to ensure that we have fresh cold beer. We strive to provide every guest with exceptional customer service and food. I've been visiting this bakery since the 1970s. The cookies were made with lard then and delicious. They're still good and better for you but I reminisce about the old type. This tiny little restaurant is a must when visiting historic St. Augustine. It was the best lunch we had during our recent trip. A must try is the stuffed shrimp with crabmeat, red beans and rice, and the red potato salad. Their ranch dressing is homemade and amazing. Ryan was a wonderful host to our family. We will definitely return.

We sat on the upper deck after sunset since there was nice breeze blowing. My husband & I enjoyed the Blackened Seafood and the Blackened Chicken. The overall experience would have been been better if the waiter would have been more personable. He seemed bothered that he had to wait on us.
