Very busy at 9am, cold morning, a lot of golfers canceled games. Waited about 10 minutes, three of us. After seated, Jackie was right there, brought our drinks and took our orders. Omelet, eggs and bacon, eggs and smoked sausage. All meals brought out hot and fresh. Enjoyed meals as always at this Darrellâs location. It is close our home , so this is where we go for breakfast 90% of the time. Give them a try, the best for breakfast in this area .

The waiter disappeared following serving beverages. Had to seek him out. Ordered pot roast and a burger medium rare with extra onions all the other trimmings but no bun. Watched the grill person flip the burger and then...with gloved hands place another raw burger on the grill and press it down with his hand...then, the same hand poked the burger to be served to me without changing gloves or washing hands.When served, the Pot roast, was generous. The bunless burger arrived without the requested onion...without the menu's promised mayo nor lettuce. The burger was merely warmed to rare (despite the unsanitary press-check of the grill person)The manager heard these concerns and promised to speak with the grill guy. The burger's charge was removed from the bill.

Darrell's Diners are popping up in the area, so we figured there must be good reasons, and stopped in this location in Wildwood. Located at the corner of Rt. 301 and Rt. 462, at the traffic lights, this place is about as unpretentious as it could be from the outside. As we walked in, we both thought it was actually bigger inside, and was clean with lots of tables. Breakfasts are the big deal, but they have lunch items as well - order either type all day until closing at 2 pm.And great variety and selections on the menu. There are also daily specials, and we were told they sell out fast. Well, our generous portions of eggs, pancakes, and bacon were very good, and reasonably priced. Our server was very helpful in reviewing the menu and telling us about the diner popularity and new locations coming up. A great stop for a good basic meal, with good service. It was "doggone good" (dog motif everywhere!) Stop in and try it out!

Stopped in for early breakfast yesterday morning, approx. 8-8:30. One waitress on duty, ordered our drinks, then our meals. Utensils wrapped in napkin, still had dried food all over the fork. New utensils brought out, then after several folks that came in after us were served, we were told waffle machine was not working. Reordered and good finally cooked and served. When we were leaving, another waitress walked in the door . Manager was in the restaurant, talked to people he knew, but made no effort to assist the lone waitress.? Food was okay after all of this, but not the best experience for sure.

Cheesy eggs...Wow!! I have no idea how they make them but these are the best scrambled eggs with cheese I've ever had. The service was great too. You won't be disappointed.
