The community was named after its founder, Sylvester Medley. Located in the western part of the county, its primary tax base is industrial development, which is why the population is so small, and the town so dense. The town was founded in the 1940s. It is next to the city of Miami Springs and across the Miami River from Hialeah. The town is home to a Rinker plant, one of its largest businesses. It's also home to the Titan America Pennsuco Cement Plant.

Went for a beer and a pizza. Wound up trying the meatballs, they were wonderful. Would have loved for there to have been a little spice to them, but thats a personal preference thing. A little red pepper and they were right where I wanted them. The pizza was great, will go again for sure!!

After church service the family went for lunch at this place.Fortunately it was early and the place was not crowded.We had a variety of appetizers which included parmesan cheese,serrano jam ,mortadellawhite cheese which was good.As an Italian restaurant we all went for pasta dishes.I had the linguine with seafood and red sauce and was very good.My wife and the others had the linguine a La Fontana which is a type of vegetarian dish and was also very good.The kids had chicken which was goodWE had two different desserts which neither one of them we found were good.Thank you so much for this rating and review Ramoni. We discovered this excellent restaurant near our hotel on a one-night stopover in Miami. The location is in a nondescript commercial area and the decor is simple, but the fresh pasta was outstanding and the portions plentiful enough to save some for lunch the next day. We also indulged in a "salame cioccolato" for dessert -- delish. Highly recommended.
