Very simple restaurant on the sea. Fresh fish prepared in a simple and essential way
Located directly on the shore, any closer and you're in the sea, just on the road north out of Torre Canne. It's basically just a shed, with no frills or pretensions. But what you do get is a warm friendly welcome and just about the freshest fish prepared in the local Puglia way. In fact the fish is so fresh that tomorrow's catch is still in the sea. Just about the best value around.

We have just returned from a week staying next door to the restaurant at the Sierra Sylvana hotel in Selva di Fasano (a nice enough hotel which is extremely clean) and were bowled over by the delights of Il Fagiano. The restaurant occupies a handsome large villa and is blessed with a series of elegant dining areas - beautifully decorated and furnished. The service was excellent - friendly and helpful but in no way overbearing. The food was a dream, whether ordered or just appearing as a 'little' extra, and minor variations to the make-up of dishes to meet one's preferences or appetite were accommodated with pleasure. For our second and third visits (there would have been more had it been open on Monday and Tuesday), we left the choice of wine entirely in the hands of our excellent waiter - a move which did not disappoint. We recommend Il Fagiano without reservation.

Even if the menu said it's available for pre-order only, the staff was so kind and cooked for us the best fish soup I ever had! I was sorry I ordered second course:) very very good fish, and the best pizza in Italy! Highly recomend this place!

The SAPORE DI SALE (Taste of Salt) restaurant in Savelletri A seaside restaurant where you can taste traditional dishes and seafood specialties What is sublimated wisdom of flavor. That is inaugurated the old to the new thinking. The archaic, revised under lights that illuminate old stories and pensive looks dynamic, remained the same. That it lights up a city of intent to become a reality by the aristocracy of the recipes of a people enlightened. SaporeDiSale - Sublime history of pleasure. The restaurant is located on the Port of Savelletri and is open for both lunch and dinner. To welcome the owners Elena Sansonetti and restaurateur Carlo Colella passion, interpreter of a concept of cuisine and service in which the large regional culinary tradition renews itself continuously with creative energy and sophistication dedicated to living and eating healthy.
Puglia is beautiful, Ugly , Fascinating and Historical.
The locals live a very basic life and are positively lovely.
Saporedisale is in one of the best locations of a very simple little port.

Being from Vancouver, where sushi bars are as popular as coffee shops, eating raw fish is an everyday experience. This is raw Italian style, so they are mixing olive oil, maybe citrus, some veg chopped fine for crunch, chives, cherry tomatoes, etc with a variety of raw seafood. On the suggestion of our hotel, we went for drinks and a couple small dishes, before another restaurant reservation. The sea bream & prawn dishes were both delicious and tasted extremely fresh. A couple glasses of frizzante white wine and we were happy.

We went for dinner based on enthusiastic recommendations from the staff at Borgo Egnazia. It’s a relatively sophisticated restaurant in an unsophisticated seaside town and I found it to be lacking soul. There was no ambience. Our waiter had a lot of attitude; he was not friendly or helpful and was completely lacking in personality. The food was acceptable not memorable. We couldn’t wait to finish our meal and leave, which was a real shame. The next night we had fantastic experience in the nearby town of Fasano at Locanda di Martume, which was excellent in every respect.

Expansive Restaurant Offering Internal And External Dining Areas Serving Traditional Pugliese Cuisine.friendly Staff And Full Tummies.
This is the place the locals come in to eat late for their weekend family dinners. You feel like you are in the real Italy - not surrounded by tourists like most of the rest of Italy, but sitting with the families who know the owners- and come to order their usual family meals. We had fish and pasta, both wonderful, and a great waiter, one of the sons, who spoke good English and chatted with us about different things. A very warm atmosphere, good food, and very inexpensive.

We arrived early fir dinner by Italian standards but were very welcomed.
The meat we delicious, great salads ... but best was the recommendations and trials of both main types of Puglian red wine, and above all the huge sampling of their menu that was their house anti-pasti dish!

Nice family style seafood restaurant in the harbour. The seafood grill was very good and after dinner they offered a plate with limoncello and biscuits.
