We stayed at Hotel Posado De Farellones for 3 nights and dined at the restaurant each night.
We LOVED the staff: Marisel, Veronica, Carlos and Paulo are wonderful hosts. They were kind, attentive and helpful - they are the absolute best part of what was a good experience.
Dinner:
A welcome Pisco Sour is always a wonderful way to say hello and this was how dinner started!
Presentation was excellent
Quality of ingredients was very good
Quantity was acceptable - not too much - not too little
The "a bit farther to go" part - well while everything was lovely, the tastes were "OK'
Saturday - Salmon was over-cooked but good. Unfortunately, I think the chef had more guests than he could handle and an otherwise good piece of salmon was left warming too long. On the positive side the restaurant served two soups in one bowl, one tomato, one corn - the combination was exceptional.
Sunday we had a baked fish pastry. it received mixed reviews (I liked it, my wife less so). On this evening the star of the show was the mixed vegetables which were prepared julienne style - they were terrific. Creme Brulee for desert was also very nice.
Monday was a Duo Carnes which was a beef rib and pot roast. Appetizer was sushi and dessert was tiramisu with espresso beans and chocolate ice cream.
In summary - they had a lot of very good ideas - they just need to keep working on them. The service in large part made up for the average food. We were there for a quiet, quaint alone time. We had that in spades and again the entire staff was exceptional.
Breakfast - was fairly normal continental style:
ham, salami, cheeses, breads, scrambled eggs lovely breads, terrific coffee, juices and pastries....and again - wonderful service.
We would absolutely give this team another try.

Road was closed to descend so I had to eat here. Had no expectations and got disappointed. Burger was a soaked deep fried sponge, sauteed mushrooms were fridge cold. Luckily there was ketchup and fries so they made it edible-ish. Oh, and expensive as hell. I understand given the location, but I would rather starve than eating there again.

Extremamente caro para a quantidade de comida que vem no prato. Pedimos dois sanduíches que saíram os olhos da cara para uma refeição que não me alimentou nada. O atendimento também não é dos melhores.

This is the second floor slope side restaurant at the Valle Nevado Ski Resort. Comfortable atmosphere with good food. I was genuinely impressed by the barbacoa and would highly recommend it.

The only reason this restaurant survives is that there are very few options to eat in farellones, especially off season. Food quality is that of a diner, but the portions and price are those of a fancy gourmet restaurant. I wouldn't go back, and I don't recommend it.

No caminho para o Vale Nevado paramos para almoço nesta pousada que tem um restaurante rústico e com preços bons. Carne boa porém o Salmão deixou a desejar . Porçoes pequenas. Mais a frente tem local para ótimas fotos. Vinhos razoaveis com carta pobre. Preços altos para o que oferece.
