O Saveurs is a charming restaurant in a peaceful avenue on the left bank, just 4 minutes' walk from the Cathedral. It re-opened 5 Sept 2016 under new ownership.
The owners are a couple: he runs front of house with enthusiasm and attention to detail. She is in the kitchen, preparing exquisitely presented dishes that are cooked to perfection.
There is no printed menu but a well-balanced range of freshly sourced dishes to choose from on the blackboard. My sister and I chose foie gras to start. It was very good and artistically presented with slices of fig, a slightly spicy freshly-made mango chutney and toast. To follow, one of us had kidneys in mustard sauce and the other, salmon fillet in a lemon butter sauce. Both were excellent - the salmon was particularly succulent.
To round off our meal, we chose a strawberry and redcurrant tart. Although I am not a great fan of crème patissiere and I prefer a more crumbly pastry, it made for a refreshing end to an excellent meal.
They have a good-sized garden at the back and hope to have it ready by Spring 2017.
Parking is easy and at under 100 euros for two, including wine and coffee, it is well worth the detour.

We got there on a Friday night while on holidays in Normandy and spending one night in Evreux. We chose this place based on Trip Advisor recommendations. The dinner was beyond our expectations. We had a 3-course dinner which was absolutely delicious, in the dining room on the right side immediately after the entrance, nicely decorated and very cosy. Very high-value for money, I hardly recommend it (make a reservation) and we liked it so much that we wanted to go back for lunch the following day (but unfortunalety it is closed on Sat. for lunch). A little more efforts on the service (some younger waiters were a bit clumsy) and you will reach excellence! Well done.

We chose the 22 euro menu which only offered two options for each course.
The starters and the dessert were ok but the main course was very disappointing. The mackerel fish was unappetising. It was overcooked and was sitting on oily pastry with a couple of tomatoes and undercooked courgettes. We felt this dish required very little (if any) cooking skill!
The service was slow. We were ignored for a long time while the waiter hovered over other diners on neighbouring tables who had chosen the more expensive (58 euro!) menu!
The restaurant was not busy so there was no excuse for the poor service.
We have eaten out a great deal in France and have often noticed that English speaking diners (however good their French!) are sometimes treated as second class citizens - receive slower service, less attention etc than their fellow French diners. I hope I'm wrong in this!

In the centre of the town an excellent restaurant serving Chinese / Thai food. Very varied menu and reasonable prices. Interior of restaurant is very modern, very stylish and the staff are most helpful. I enjoyed a superb meal with wine and coffee for 47 euros. Will be going back next week when I pass through that town again.

Stayed in Evreux over the Bastile weekend. This restaurant is brilliant! Everyone was so busy but they still found time to try to understand our order despite us not speaking much french. We attempted to order drinks but were bought something different , there were no issues they changed them and bought us something else. Something they needn't have done.
The quality of food is brilliant and couldnt fault anything about the place.
Try it you wont be disappointed they are so helpful.
Fixed price menu is fabulous quality

La formule pourrait surprendre, le menu est coché par le client.
Le menu est à volonté mais les gaspilleurs qui ont les yeux plus grand que le ventre seront pénalisés.
Shuhis, makis, très frais, brochettes à tout...
J'y reviendrais.

I went to this little restaurant because i saw all this good comments on trip advisor and let me tell you i'm not disapointed. The place is very cosy the owner makes you feel very welcome even though he doesn't speak english he tried his best to communicate.
But the best was the food!! So french, so homemade and sooo good.
I'll definitely come back on my next trip to Evreux.

We came at 7.30 pm on Tuesday. The place was semi full. It took the people 30 min to ask for drinks, another 30 min to bring water, another 20 to bring bread and took the orders.
Absolutely unacceptable.
The food was basic, I guess the only good things were sea food and my advice is to stick with it.
No experiments.
I was lucky enough that I ask for fillet de beef, medium cocked and I get it well done!!!!! I would imaging I will get it burned if I ask for well done.
And we are in the meat part of France.
Empty bottles the staff even don't think to take of the table.
Conclusions: never ever.

The restaurant is extremely clean and quite modern. We went on a Wednesday evening and had the place to ourselves. The owner was making the food and he was so nice. Spoke good English as well.
There were two in my party and we each ordered a calzone. DELICIOUS! And huge! Also for a good price.
Highly recommended!
Thanks to the owner for a pleasant dining experience.
