Beautifully looking restaurant in very center of Erzurum. Features great selection of Turkish food and very nice interiors. Staff was friendly and service perfect. Food is prices very reasonably and overall impression from this place was good. I would definitely recommend to visit this place if you are in Erzurum. Also important to note that there is a good parking area available in front of restaurant!

The Cag kebab originates from Erzurum. So when you are in this city, Cag kebabi is one of the specialities that you must try.
Other than at a normal restaurant, the staff will not ask you anything, they will bring water and some meze's and salads. While you are wondering when they will come and ask you what you would like to have, they serve you the Cag kebab. Apparently, it is the tradition that they will keep bringing the kebab until you tell
them to stop.
We just loved the Cag kebab at this restaurant! Even my daughter of 5 who is a bad eater, ate 2 of those kebabs and drunk all the ayran. The staff was great and very kind. The toilets were clean; as they say a lot about the cleanliness of the place itself.
I would recommend to take desert after the meal. It's again a speciality of Erzurum called Burma Kadayif. I normally don't eat anything else than baklava but this was just delicious.

Been here twice in the last few weeks, and hasn't disappointed either time. Downstairs is a more formal dining area, with much more reverence (and I can see that some diners might find it a bit old-fashioned). Upstairs is more relaxed, with a bar area, smoking area, log fire & live music. The food is just as good in both areas: it just depends on what atmosphere you're looking for. Great menu - a good selection of traditional Turkish mains, as well as 'European' dishes such as stroganoff and schnitzel. The meze trolley only appears downstairs - but it is a sight to behold! Upstairs you have to choose from the menu, so it's worth having a reasonable idea what you're looking for. Highly recommend the stuffed vine leaves, and the liver! Mains are generally very good - friends who've had the fish say it's always excellent, and I don't know anyone who's been disappointed by the meat dishes. Beer is reasonably priced given this is the only restaurant in the area that serves alcohol, and there is a good wine list, and a great choice of spirits. Great location, great staff - well worth a visit!

This is a great find, and a restaurant well worth going back to. The service was really good - very friendly staff who worked hard to make everything perfect for us. The menu is irritating: half the fabulous looking food isn't available! Now that might be because availability changes every day, or... well, who knows. But the food that we did eventually order was very, very good. In fact the T-Bone was outstanding - and (unusually) beautifully cooked and hot! Highly recommended.

The cag kebab is a specialt yof Erzurum, and we were told that Koc is one of the bets places to have cag kebab. The restaurant serves mezes (side dishes) aside included in the menu, and these were all quite tasty. The cag kebab is served on skewers, and you can ask as many as you wish, or they can also keep bringing as you eat and finish.
Koc is open until 9.30-10.00. I would not recommend the desserts though.

This is a posh place in a city full of surprises. I went with an Erzuramite and it was hard to stop at 10 kebabs (= 5 each), but even if you keep on going - I thoroughly recommend leaving space and time for the house special desert: Kadyifci. The kebabs work out at around 7TL each - and you can order them as rare as you want. There are truly delicious. I can't remember how much the desert was - only that half of it was a kind of sweet pumpkin with a nutty topping and the other half was nutty and not pumkin. Both halves were magical. Highly, but highly recommended for a slow late lunch with good friends - eat indoors or on the Terrace. Both are brilliant. By the way - if you are looking for a super knowledgeable taxi and driver for your trips around town - try Erol Kaya at 05366988624. But only if you speak Turkish - and want to see everything there is to see in Erzurum.

Please don't go here, you'd be regretful. The meat was impossible to eat, the people who works here was rude. We said that, "the meat was hard and we didn't like it", they said us, "the problem is because of you, not us." After the dinner, i have a really worst "toothache."

This small "patisserie" on the main drag in downtown Erzurum has absolutely divine desserts. From baklava to kadyifci to ice cream and everything inbetween.
The gentlemen at the counter are fast and efficient, likely because of the long lines that can be trailing out the door.
WORTH a stop, anything would be wonderful -- no disappointments here; you'll be glad you stopped!

I know this place since my childhood and thoroughout the years I had chance several times to visit the restaurant. It's been present since 1960s. The only thing I can tell you that if you're in Erzurum, you SHOULD definitely and certainly try this restaurant. You will eat Doner Kebap and Cacik ( traditional cold souplike meal prepared with Turkish yoghurt and cucumber). Then as dessert you will eat Kadayif Dolma and drink Turkish tea. It'll be a perfect and delicious experience rahat you'll never forget. Do not try to search for Cag Kebap in Erzurum, just go to Hacibaba restaurant and take the courses that I advice you :)
