We had a take away delivered last night which was nothing short of excellent. The delivery guy was polite and on time and the food hot and plentiful. We had a selection of dishes including vegan, all of which were superb. Try the king prawn starter and chicken specials for main, superb. Oh donât forget the special naans, delicious.
Every time I give this place another chance after blowing "this is their final chance" I wonder why I do it.I've had a number of take aways from here over the years and really the last debacle really is it.* Phoned up with an order and told it would be 30mins* Knowing how slow they are I turned up at 40mins to be treated to the usual inefficient scuttling around of the front of house lady. She asked did I order and then disappeared off with no other communication. As she didn't ask what my order was there can't have been that many* Eventually she arrived with my order (I heard her tell the kitchen what to cook at one stage)* Tried 3 times to put the card through her machine but it failed to dial the server (probably because she was half taking a call on the same line)* By this stage I was so annoyed I paid by cash* On the way home I realised they had overcharged (again) by £3* At home there was a mystery fried piece of something wrapped up that wasn't ordered and certainly didn't justify the £3* The popadoms were crushed to confettiThe food was acceptable though rating about 6/10.Previously I've had wrong orders, overcharging, slow service, poor customer care and episodes of playing "hunt the meat" as there was mainly just sauce.Really the only reason this place keeps going is that there's no competition. Sort out the awful front of house service from the lady (who seems to be the proprietor) and it would be just passable as a take away.As for eating there it is just a largish impersonal cold uninviting room that looks awful.
The Red Chilli Indian Restaurant was recommended, so here we go, The Staff were very professional on the phone, very friendly, we were ordering a takeaway to be delivered out of there radius, great communication, the wife wasnt vey hungry which was just as well , because her order wasn't delivered a slight mishap on there side, after a message on Facebook messenger, I said no problem , just credit it for next time and sure there will be a next time bad point out of the way, the food was good, side salad chopped tomatoes and onions tasty, all were piping hot which makes a change from takeaways that are only 5 mins away, it is easy a 25 min drive, overall , give it a go

We had an amazing meal tonight with 3 other couples. The food was great, the prices were reasonable, and the service was absolutely amazing - and this is where the issue occurred. The tips do not go to the waiting staff as we have come to expect in most restaurants. This restaurant keeps them for themselves. We all agreed that the waiting staff - who had made our visit there comfortable, easy and fun by running up and down those stairs several times for food and drink orders - should be the ones receiving tips for THEIR good service. Please look to revising this practise as soon as possible, and customers should always ask what the tipping policy is at this or any restaurant. Massive thanks to the 2 female waiting staff who made our evening a wonderful one!

Fancied an Indian between Christmas and New Year and ordered from what has become our favourite Indian takeaway - although it is a restaurant and you can eat in. The chicken chaat was delicious followed by a fabulous chicken tikka masala. Their mushroom pilau rice is also fab. If you love a nice Indian this is a definite one to try.

Ordered chicken tikka Rogan Josh described as medium to hot - OMG it wasnât even mild! It smelt off!!!! My wife ordered Chicken Tikka Masala which in here own words âthis is very poor and doesnât taste like masalaâ. We will definitely not be going back to this restaurant again.
