England, United Kingdom Food Guide: 4 Indian food Must-Eat Restaurants & Street Food Stalls in Glastonbury

October 4, 2019 Kelli Reichel

Find out what Indian restaurants to try in Glastonbury. Generally a quiet place graced with lovely terrain for strolling, Glastonbury is very busy in the summer because of its music festival. Best known for contemporary music, the festival has attracted almost 200,000 people in recent years (whereas Glastonbury's full-time population is only 9,000 or so). There are a number of historical monuments to see in the area, including Glastonbury Lake Village, Glastonbury Abbey and the Somerset Rural Life Museum. We can't say that the weather is always good, but on a sunny day you can't go wrong!

Staff were professional, decor clean and contemporary, food very good. The reason for marking down was the simple fact I ordered a chicken dish and received prawns. They were willing to replace but then the rest of the meal is on the table and partner eating so I accepted the error having mentioned it to the server.I would have expected this item to be deducted or at least a free drink or something to compensate for the error but no attempt was made to find a way to address this.

Can't comment on the food. Spent thirty minutes picking dishes from the takeaway menu and making a list. Called up to order. "We're not delivering today". Didn't bother with an explanation until I asked: "The driver isn't in". No idea if that's a one off or a regular Sunday thing, but won't be bothering again. Don't feel like playing Russian Roulette. Plenty of other options.

Well....it was a birthday meal and it wasn’t that special. It came highly recommended on Facebook when someone asked for suggestions on the best Indian restaurant. Some of the meals were nice, however some of the food was cold and flavourless. We had to wait 20 minutes for them to clear the table so we could sit down We then had to wait an hour and 45 minutes for food....Other tables waited ages and they also got wrong food and missing items..!!£96....!!They were rude and blunt but felt sorry for the gentleman server as he seemed to be getting it in the neck but he was clearly fighting a loosing battle. We won’t be returning.Plus we all now have dodgy stomachs
