Heard about The Pavillion for years, but never got around to going.Went on Saturday night. Booked the day before with no issues and taken straight to our table on arrival as the bar was full - not a problem as we had a 10 year old with us who was hungry.Service very good, lots of staff around and menus given, food and drink orders placed very promptly and efficiently.Unfortunately it was the food itself which failed to blow me away - their was nothing wrong with it at all - indeed the Salt & Pepper King Prawn starter was excellent, but based on the reputation I had heard of, and what I felt was quite an expensive menu, I left feeling underwhelmed, which was a shame. £70 for two starters, two rice and three mains and three drinks felt steepI will not rule out returning, but I wonât be rushing back.

Long established in the village, this family owned and operated business is one of the best Chinese takeaways in the region. I have had many many meals from the Overseas for a lot of years - 25 years +, and it has always been fabulous. A great variety with many different flavours from curries to Char Siu to sweet and sour plus loads more. Phone the order in and generally it will be ready within ten minutes. They also do takeaway banquets for 2, 4, 8 or more - excellent ! This is a really great takeaway with a 5 star hygiene rating.

This Chinese used to be the best around !however Iâm massively disappointed with how itâs going now. Itâs lost its flavour and the chicken is consistently dry with an odd texture. I donât think I wanted to admit to myself that itâs not nice anymore and Iâve kept trying it in hope, but itâs just simply awful. There last chance has been spent Iâm afraid after 35 years of using them Iâm extremely sad itâs come to this.

just been for my first visit wasnt sure when I went in 1 guy cooking n serving was going to get house special nutdecided on prawn chow mein was really impressed n surprised loads of everything pkenty of prawns was real yummy will def go back
