Francela Restaurant

You always worry, if some where gets five stars reviews, whether it’s genuine, or if you’ll be unlucky. This place didn’t disappoint. Service, food quality and atmosphere all great. Our teenage son was full up - an achievement in itself! The extra complementary amaretto at the end was an indication of the spirit of generosity in the place. We had a lovely evening. I would warmly recommend. Especially loved the fresh dressed side salads and the unusual and delicious cracked wheat accompaniment.

Cafe Kottani

Local English-Greek Cafe

Cafe Kottani is bright and clean with a cheery atmosphere. The menu of mediterranean delicacies is varied and interesting. I was after a light lunch but, once I'd seen the tempting array of dishes behind the counter, frankly, I was tempted to pig out!I restrained myself and selected one of the very reasonably priced mezze selections on offer. The dish, when it came out, was generously loaded with a colourful and appetising selection of items, all of which proved to taste as good as they looked.Very good all round.

If you're visiting Bury St Edmunds you must visit this delightful authentic Greek cafe. Small and cosy serving traditional Greek food which includes, Meze (vegetarian or vegan) & Greek desserts. It also contains a small deli for which to buy ingredients. *Word of note, if it's full, 2 doors down is Cafe Kottani, which is also owned by the same people and equally as good!
