The town itself has over 1,000 years of religious and military history, including a monastery dating back to the 10th century and Taunton Castle, which has origins in the Anglo Saxon period and was later the site of a priory. The Normans then built a stone structured castle, which belonged to the Bishops of Winchester. The current heavily reconstructed buildings are the inner ward, which now houses the Museum of Somerset and the Somerset Military Museum.

Went there at 1.30pm Monday afternoon , food what food, there was a lot of empty trays, what was left you had to scrap the tray as it was all most empty, food was cold cold, salad cart only had tomatoâs in, when it was mention to staff they wasnât interested, there costumer service was very poor, They just wasnât interested, I never paid for food as could eat cold curry, chips was so cold they was hard unbelievable Paid for my drink and left.Safe to say Iâm not going back, no wonder itâs always empty.Sorry to hear that Nicole. We have investigated your matter, we checked the temperature it was according to food & hygiene standard. However, we are always ready to customise our customers food in terms of spice, temperature, salt etc. We are really sorry for the inconvenience you had.

Having used Chinese buffets all over the country I have to say this is now top of my list.We visited on a very busy Saturday, the food was well cooked & presented and there were plenty of choices. Staff were busy filling up & serving drinks, etc. but all managed a smile, A little tip for those complaining of cold food, don't pile your plate so high, you can go back as many times as you like.No hesitation in recommending to others. Definitely worth the drive and will be back.

The staff are a delight from arrival to departure, welcoming, attentive and simply friendly. The menu is slightly more limited than many similar curry restaurants - thatâs an observation not criticism. I ate the best Peshwari Naan I have ever had here, my two friends agreed, chapatis were similarly top notch. Side dishes, Dahl, Brinjal and Bhindi Bhajis were well prepared and served promptly and hot (temperature) which isnât always the case. Main courses, vegetable, chicken, lamb and prawn were also similarly executed and presented hot. The spicy saffron Rice is a treat and the portion enough for two with ease. Nice that Bangla beer is served not just ubiquitous overrated Cobra. The decor is a little âtiredâ and there are some tables that are a perhaps cramped.

Just got home after a delicious Thai meal. Having visited Thailand for more than 20 years The Chapelâs Thai food is the nearest thing to being in Thailand. Lovely atmosphere and must just mention our lovely young waitress Megan who was cheerful, happy, polite and very helpful, thank you Megan for making our evening so pleasant. See you again soon x

Well can say the food is excellent but that is it as the service was so slow only had one drink with the meal all night as getting another one was a no no.Asked for the bill Twice and in the end had to go to the front desk to paySo would I go here again very doubtful.
