An OK stop before or after a safari at nearby Udawalawe National Park. Lunch buffet is LKR 800 with LKR300 for a refreshing Lion Beer.
Buffet food was cold and would have been more enjoyable heated up. However, nice open atmosphere with good Wi-Fi although we did have a power outage at while there.

Can have variety of foods and served as buffet style...just a restaurent located infront of the main bus stand...very easy to find and cant believe such a place fromembilipitiya area...LKR 250/-for each plate...recommend to any type of traveller!!!!!

Looked good from the outside. Despite unwashed windows it looked clean inside and it was. Our Sri Lankan friends ate the buffet, which they said was tasteless. I ate a prepared food of cut up pasta, spices and vegetables which was nice. Because I am a foreigner, and I asked for coffee, I was slugged. I should have asked my Native friends to order for me at greatly reduced price

We stayed one night in the hotel and the staff was very friendly. The hotel has a small pool and is in the opposite side to the Elephant Transit Home. We had good food for dinner as well as for breakfast after our half-day safari. Special Thanks to the very kind staff in the restaurant (Janaka, Chomelta, Chaminda etc.)! :)
